Basics

We take a holistic view of the child and their development. We understand learning and growing not as a linear process, but as a complex interplay of individual abilities that strengthen and complement one another.

At the center of our approach is the development of everyday and life skills such as social interaction, emotional self-regulation, a sense of responsibility, problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to discover new things and learn from mistakes. These competencies are essential—not only for everyday life but also for school learning.

Our participatory attitude is reflected in respectful interactions with children, families, and colleagues. We create environments in which children can actively contribute, take responsibility, and experience themselves as part of a community. In doing so, we maintain a balance between individual needs and the social environment.

Learning happens through experiences, role models, and dialogue. We accompany children in their thinking processes, encourage them to question things, and support the connection of topics such as language, mathematics, science, and philosophy—always within the context of their everyday lives.

Mistakes and challenges are valuable learning moments for us. They strengthen self-confidence and the ability to act independently. That is why we give children the space to find their own solutions instead of taking everything off their hands.

Equally important are free time, movement, art, and music. They support not only physical and emotional development but also the processing of new content. Education needs balance—between impulses and pauses, between guidance and freedom.

Teamwork with parents

In our educational work, we see ourselves as companions to the children and their families. A trusting collaboration with you as parents is essential for us in order to support the children in their development in the best possible way.

You as a family make an important contribution by fostering your child’s independence, problem-solving skills, as well as their social and emotional development. These abilities are fundamental—both for everyday school life and for life in general.

Upon request, we offer parent-teacher and development meetings to keep you regularly informed about your child’s progress in our care. It is equally important for us to be informed about relevant changes in your child’s life—only in this way can we provide individual and appropriate support.

Holiday Care

Starting from the 2026/2027 school year, our holiday program includes eight weeks per school year:

  • Three weeks during the summer holidays
  • Five weeks during the winter, spring (Easter), and autumn holidays

The holiday package can either be booked in full or not at all. We offer a colorful, participatory program in which the children contribute their ideas and actively help shape their holiday experience.

In addition to creative workshops and physical activities, the program also includes excursions in Hanau and the surrounding area.

Holiday care takes place daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and provides plenty of opportunities for experimentation and discovery—far removed from the structured routine of the school day.
