Introduction/specifics
Mission statement:
When the children are small, give them roots. When they grow up, give them wings.
Who we are:
We are the Waldorfkindergarten Feuerbach e.V., which has been in existence for 27 years in the idyllic
district of Feuerbach in the municipality of Kandern. Surrounded by meadows, vineyards and woods, the children here have a place where they can find peace and quiet in today's fast-paced and media-influenced world. The children will find lovingly designed rooms in the house and garden. The large outdoor area, which has been laid out in several terraces, offers sandpits, climbing facilities, playhouses, swings, flower beds, snack bushes, rabbits and everything you can find in nature to play with. It was all created thanks to the energetic cooperation of the parents. We currently have a mixed-age group of 18-20 children between the ages of two and school age.
Our daily routine:
The children are brought in from 7:30 a.m.. During the first free play time, the children can play with all the play materials in the room. During this time, the teachers carry out various activities and prepare breakfast, and the children are always welcome to help.
At 9:20 a.m., the free play time turns into a joint tidying up. Our younger children are soon accompanied to the washroom. The older children help to tidy up the room and set the table. After going to the washroom, we all gather again in the group room for the morning circle. We start with finger games, snack on fruit and vegetables, count the children in the circle and find out who is missing. After a little refreshment, the rhythmic part follows with a round dance: Movement, linked with singing and saying rhymes - according to the season. This is followed by breakfast together and the second free play session in the garden.
At around 12 a.m., we end the morning with the telling of a fairy tale, a story, a puppet show or a group game.
Eurythmy takes place every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m..
The first pick-up time is at 12:30 p.m.. At 12:50 p.m. is snack time. The children eat the snack they have brought with them.
The kindergarten day ends quietly with reading books or playing quietly. Some children like to help sweep the room and wash the dishes. The last children are collected by 1:30 p.m..
