Introduction

Hello, dear parents,
Are you looking for loving and personalized care for your child in a home-like atmosphere? Then you’ve come to the right place.
My name is Rita Manz. I have been a certified child care provider since February 2017 and live with my family in a lively, child-friendly home. I have also completed advanced training as a specialist in inclusion and integration. This allows me to address the individual needs and developmental paths of the children even more effectively.
In my small group (maximum 5 children aged 0 to 3 years), every child is free to play, laugh, and discover the world at their own pace. With plenty of patience, warmth, and attentiveness, I guide the little ones and support them in their development. It is important to me that every child feels comfortable and secure, because only then can they learn and grow with curiosity.
In my daycare, I place great importance on close collaboration with parents. We maintain regular communication to ensure that your child’s needs are always the top priority. Together, we guide your child on their journey and support their personal development.
The parent fees are the same as those at a municipal daycare center.

Rooms

The “Ritas Kuschelbären” daycare center is located right next to my private living space on the ground floor of an apartment building and features a spacious terrace and an adjacent playground. The bright rooms are perfect for playing, resting, and getting creative. A cozy bedroom ensures that the children can recharge their batteries after an eventful morning. The terrace and lawn, equipped with various play structures, offer plenty of space for playing and running around in the fresh air. Age-appropriate toys are available both indoors and outdoors, which I tailor individually to the children’s needs. The rooms are decorated to match the season or current themes, often featuring the children’s crafts, which are then given a special place in their personal portfolios.

Outdoor Facilities

My daycare center is located in Heidenau Süd, right near the Pestalozzi Gymnasium. Here, children can play, run around, and explore the world to their heart’s content in the fresh air.
On the terrace, they splash, romp, and laugh together, while in the garden, the sandbox, playhouse, and slide invite them to embark on joyful adventures.

There’s also plenty to experience in the surrounding area. Several playgrounds and the community garden are just a short walk away, ensuring hours of fun outdoors. This makes every day spent in the fresh air exciting, playful, and full of little discoveries. Exercise, fun, and creativity are guaranteed!

Daily Schedule

My daycare is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All children who have breakfast are dropped off within the first 30 minutes so that we can enjoy breakfast together in a calm atmosphere starting at 7:30 a.m. The remaining children usually arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m.

During the warmer months, we’re quick to head outside. As soon as all the children have arrived, we set off on little adventures—whether to the playground, out into nature, or simply on a discovery tour of the neighborhood. The songs from our morning circle also sound especially lovely under the open sky.

On cooler days, we hold morning circle in the playroom before heading outside, well bundled up. And when it rains? Then we paint, do crafts, or read indoors, or we happily hop through the puddles in our rubber boots.

Depending on the children’s age and how tired they are, lunch is served between 11:00 and 11:30 a.m. I cook fresh meals every day so the children can enjoy a healthy and balanced meal. This is followed by a nap time of about two hours, during which I adapt flexibly to the children’s individual sleep needs.

Around 2:30 p.m., once everyone is awake and changed, we have a snack together. Afterward, the children are picked up between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Basics

I work according to the situational approach, with the Saxon Education Plan serving as the foundation of my work. My primary goal when caring for young children is that they look forward to coming to me because they feel safe and secure. I aim to provide a place where children can discover the world at their own pace, with their strengths and weaknesses, and simply enjoy being with other children. This is only possible through a close and trusting partnership with the parents.

Every child is, from birth, a unique personality with different interests and needs, shaped partly by development, partly by the family, and influenced by social and cultural backgrounds. My goal is to recognize and understand these needs in order to support each child individually, helping them grow in their personal development, language development, sensory perception, motor skills, creativity, and imagination. I aim to achieve this through movement games, clear language, stories and rhymes, songs, and the use of various materials.

Through close collaboration with parents and attentive observation, I want to offer the children the best possible developmental opportunities, taking their developmental stage into account. The children should develop confidence in their abilities and feel accepted. My goal is to strengthen their will, as well as their independence, self-responsibility, and thus their self-confidence.
