Introduction/specifics

The FortSchritt children's house “NaturGlück” is located at Ostersteigstraße 23, on the outskirts, surrounded by fields, meadows and forests. The children's house, which is currently still under construction, offers space for a total of 74 children, divided into two crèche groups ("Igel" and "Hase") for 12 children each between the ages of one and three as well as two kindergarten groups ("Fox" and " Deer ”) for every 25 children between the ages of three and six. We warmly welcome every child and we offer integration places for children with increased educational needs. The children's home is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Rooms

Each of the four groups has its own group room, adjoining room or bedroom and its own sanitary facilities with changing facilities. A spacious auditorium offers space for a small cafeteria, the other half of the room can be used flexibly as a space for movement, for parents' evenings, parties and celebrations as well as for further training. There is also a therapy room with a Snoezel corner and lots of materials for targeted stimulation of the senses and relaxation exercises. This room is not only designed for our integrative children, but should be available to all children in the form of individual or small group work. But not only the children have been thought of: For you as parents, an extra room will be set up in which you can make yourself comfortable while you wait while you are getting used to it. The room can also be used for discussions with parents, meetings of the parents' council or for a small parent café. All rooms are flooded with light and designed to be bright. The windows close to the floor make it possible to observe nature from the inside. The entire facility is designed to be barrier-free. The spacious playground with a wave slide in the sandpit, bobby car track and several play equipment for climbing and swings offers enough space for the child's thirst for adventure and invites you to research and experiment.

Basics

Our educational work is based on the Bavarian education and upbringing plan, combined with approaches from nature education, education for sustainable development and the pedagogy of Maria Montessori. Every child should find a second home with us, a place where they feel safe and secure and where they have enough space to develop freely. Each child is seen as an individual, with their own needs, strengths and learning windows. Holistic learning experiences are important to us. Learning from the original with head, heart and hand. That is why there will be regular forest and meadow days, excursions to the town, participation in festivals in the community, etc. so that the children can explore their home and "understand" them with all their senses.
