Specifics

The pedagogical approach in the kindergarten is the open concept.

The children decide for themselves where, when, with whom and for how long they want to play. The educational staff encourage dialoges with the children and take their interests and needs seriously. In the open concept, the children are given the freedom they need to decide, explore and try new things out. Clear structures, rules and boundaries provide the necessary orientation. The children are self-designers (actors) of their own development. The educational staff attach great importance to giving the children autonomy and self-organization in learning, development and educational processes.

Participation (self-determination) in the institution is very important.

The open space is a visible sign of the open concept. The children are not divided into group units, but have access to all functional areas and rooms throughout the day. This gives the children the greatest possible opportunity to play according to their inclinations and wishes and to experience their environment. Our functional rooms and areas can be varied according to the children's needs. For example, there is a construction playroom, a role-play area, an arts and crafts studio, a wood workshop, a gym, a cafeteria, an activity and creativity room, a conservatory and a "nest". The kindergarten also has a large, clearly laid out garden, which invites children to play and run around.

The following apply to the work in our facility:

- The Bavarian Education and Upbringing Plan

- The Bavarian Kindergarten Act

- The conditions of use for the municipal daycare facilities of the city of Günzburg

- The concept of the kindergarten in its currently valid version

- The partial concept of child protection

For the educational staff, the most important thing is that your child feels comfortable and has a happy kindergarten experience. The kindergarten team will accompany you and your child every step of the way. The building offers a pleasant, friendly atmosphere in which your child's personality and development will be strengthened. The focus is on your child and not on their performance. Your child will receive individual and optimal support at the kindergarten.

In order to guarantee the children comprehensive support, it is necessary to work together with other institutions and to involve them on an individual basis for each child. The kindergarten works together with the following institutions: Elementary school, special educational support center, early intervention center, speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational counseling center, health and youth welfare office, district office, ....

Kindergarten Parents

You are an important point of contact for the kindergarten team when it comes to your child's concerns. A trusting and open relationship is the prerequisite for good cooperation between parents and kindergarten and a basic requirement for the best possible education and development of your child.

The nursery team values the competence of parents, takes their concerns seriously and wants to support and accompany them as much as possible.

The educational staff provide intensive support for you and your child during the settling-in phase.

You will be informed about your child's development in a meeting at least once a year.

The kindergarten team is made up of 13 trained teachers with various additional qualifications:

- Nursery teachers

- nursery nurses

- Curative education nurse

- Multipliers for pedagogical diversity (specialists for inclusion)

The team is also supported by 2 housekeepers, a reading mentor and a janitor.
