In the midst of the Dübener Heide, the connection to nature of the facility is evident in the nature playground and the wood workshop. The daycare center is an integral part of community life in the village, which is reflected in its support of festivals and activities, thereby enriching the daily life of the daycare. Regular excursions to the nearby meadows and forests are as natural for the pedagogical staff as crafting and working with natural materials, building an insect hotel, or tending to a raised garden bed. Barefoot paths, climbing beams, balancing tracks, tunnels, sound gardens, and much more on our playground encourage children to perceive nature with all their senses, to move, to discover, and to be encouraged to try out and explore new things. The educational professional accompanies and observes the children in all their new experiences and is guided by Maria Montessori's motto "Help me to do it myself." The daily routines, spaces, material offerings, rituals, etc., are structured so that the child can transition from external order to internal order. There is an open material offering where the child can independently engage, develop, and strengthen themselves in every area, whether in sensory perception, language, mathematics, music, practical life movement, or creative design. They decide when, where, how long, and with whom they want to do something, thus learning to be the "master of themselves" (Maria Montessori).

A healthy and balanced diet for the children is also important to the institution. Therefore, the children in the daycare receive healthy and varied meals. The lunch service is very appealing, with daily freshly prepared vegetable, salad, and fruit variations being a matter of course for the supplier.
