Introduction/specifics

Our kindergarten was opened in September 2007 in Gilching as a preschool kindergarten. The kindergarten was converted into a regular kindergarten with 4 integrative places in September 2019. In the small group, up to 18 children play, learn and research. 

We are a small, cosy kindergarten where there is plenty of time for each individual child. Due to the small group size, we can have an intensive exchange and close cooperation with the parents; Regular parents' cafes, joint parties and daily door talks form the basis for a good educational partnership.

Basics

Children with special needs are very welcome. Each child is accepted by us in his individuality and offers are designed in such a way that every child has the opportunity to participate. Together with the parents, the specialist service and the pedagogical staff, possibilities are sought to overcome existing difficulties and to create optimal conditions for the child.

Employee

The kindergarten is closely linked to the nursery "Zipfelmützen". For both houses there is a common facility management. The kindergarten is run by the pedagogical management, in function also as group leader of the kindergarten. A pedagogical assistant and an educator complete the team. For our children with special needs, a special needs teacher comes to the house weekly. Our music teacher comes to our institution every two weeks for early musical education 

Additional Offerings

Our kindergarten teacher from the nursery "Zipfelmützen" has a dog named Fanny. At regular intervals (about 2-3 times a month) she brings her dog to the kindergarten "Löwenzahn". The children have the opportunity to get to know Fanny better in a protected environment and at fixed times in constant company. Fixed times are e.B. in the morning circle, or during a short walk in the park, or with a guided animal-assisted offer in the kindergarden.

Our kindergarten teacher has acquired a dog driver's license with her dog. Regularly, the health of the dog is proven, this includes vaccinations and regular deworming. The dog is clean and free of parasites.

If there are enough places, the selection is made in the following order: 

1. Children living in the municipality of Gilching 

2. Siblings of children who are already cared for in the kindergarden 

3. Children from FortSchritt institutions, living in Gilching 

4. Children whose mother or father is a single parent working or in education 

5. Children whose family is in a special predicament 

6. Children whose two persons are entitled to work or are in education 

7. Children who need care in a day care centre in the interests of social integration 

8. Age of children
