Introduction/specifics
The Kirchberg Elementary School offers after-school care.
The after-school care program includes lunch provided by the Landgasthof Geltinger in Reichlkofen (for a fee – arranged through Kitafino).
Educational objective:
The after-school program is conceived as a valuable environment where children can gather diverse social experiences and develop their personalities. Through continuous communication between parents, the school, and the program staff, we create the foundation for a high level of well-being and trust for everyone involved. At its core is an open and respectful approach to care that honors the individuality of each child. After classes, the children are given dedicated free time without predetermined activities to pursue their own needs – whether through physical activity, relaxation, or conversations with the staff. This allows them to release emotional tension and recharge. The impetus for activities usually comes from the children themselves. They are actively guided and supported in developing and implementing their ideas. Rules for interacting with one another are developed together with the children to provide guidance and promote fair conflict resolution. During lunch and tidying up together, independence and personal responsibility are fostered. These shared activities promote a sense of belonging and deepen social interaction.
