Introduction/specifics
Aham Elementary School offers after-school care.
The after-school care program includes lunch provided by the Landgasthof Geltinger in Reichlkofen (for a fee – booked through Kitafino).
Guiding principle of the midday care program:
Creative and athletic activities to balance the school day, fostering social connections, and a healthy, balanced diet are the pillars upon which our care is based. The team observes the children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development to enable individualized support. The children are involved in decisions regarding daily life at the facility and the design of the rooms, according to their developmental stage. Established routines, clear rules, and rituals promote group cohesion and allow for the individual and free development of each child. The children have the opportunity to eat lunch together, do their homework in a quiet atmosphere, relax, read, or listen to music, find peace through free play or creative groups, and play outdoors in almost any weather. Free play, support in developing social skills among the children, and healthy nutrition are central to our approach. Skills promoted include a sense of responsibility, helpfulness, creative and artistic abilities, learning how to learn, respect and consideration in dealing with other people, responsible handling of the environment and natural resources, linguistic expression, body awareness, motor skills and physical expressiveness.
