Our forest kindergarten is a special place for children to learn and live, where experiencing nature and inclusion go hand in hand. As part of the Bregtal School, children with and without disabilities learn together as a matter of course.  In our small, manageable forest kindergarten group, up to 10 children are cared for and supported together with a small group from the Rappelkiste school kindergarten (5 children).
The children experience everyday life not only on the premises of the Bregtal School, but also outdoors in nature, discovering the forest with all their senses and growing up in a community where every child is seen and accepted for their individual strengths. Our educational staff accompany the children on their developmental journey with a high level of expertise, extensive experience, and great commitment.

Rooms

The children have access to several group rooms, which are designed according to their interests and needs. There is also a shared cloakroom area and a shared washroom and toilet area.

Outdoor Facilities

The forest kindergarten makes use of the forest with its streams, the meadows, and also the playground at the Bregtal School. We focus on the seasonal opportunities and, of course, keep an eye on the weather. We have our stream for cooking mud soup, and we have the forest with its slopes and trees for climbing and scrambling. The meadows are great for rolling around and sledding, and the playground offers a sand and mud area, a climbing area, a trampoline, swings, and a slide, as well as a soccer field and a great track for vehicles.

Food

Our team consists of experienced educational professionals who support the children with a great deal of expertise, experience, and compassion. The staff at the school kindergarten work closely with the forest kindergarten group.

In addition, we train prospective educators as part of the PiA program, thereby ensuring a steady supply of new professionals. Every year, our team is also joined by a volunteer completing a year of voluntary social service.

Cooperations

The forest kindergarten maintains a wide range of partnerships with external partners. These include cooperation with the health department, for example in the area of dental health. We also work together with local associations on campaigns and events, such as festivals like Fasnacht. These partnerships enrich everyday life at the kindergarten and open up additional opportunities for the children to learn and gain experience.

Teamwork with school

For children starting school, we work closely and reliably with the local elementary school. A cooperation teacher supports the children in individual consultations. In addition, we offer targeted programs for children starting school to gently prepare them for the transition and give them confidence for the next stage of their development.

A trusting and cooperative partnership with families is of central importance to us. Openness, transparency, and mutual respect form the basis of our educational partnership. Parents are the experts when it comes to their children, and we take this role very seriously. Together with families, we want to accompany, support, and encourage children in the best way possible.
