Hello, my name is Michaela Köppendörfer. I enjoyed completing the
daycare qualification course in 2011 and initially offered daycare in
my own rooms. I came to my favorite area, the forest, in 2016
through a request. Since then, I have been accompanying children through the seasons for about a year.
It gives me great pleasure to see how the well-acclimatized children become a group
and how we can experience nature and its changes, ourselves and all
annual festivals together.

We childminders are constantly undergoing further training and can take part in many exciting, advanced training courses. The pedagogical quality support
in child day care 2024 was particularly helpful for me.
I have a general high school diploma, have completed two apprenticeships and am a mother of 3 children. In addition to childcare in the forest, I also work in primary school childcare.

Rooms

The supervision takes place in the Fürth city forest. The meeting point is right next to the

Daily Schedule

The children in the “Moosmäuse” forest group experience a recurring
routine that gives them a sense of security. We start at the “train”, which is a trolley, with
singing the welcome songs into the forest. When we arrive at the morning place, we have a drink
and greet each other, our senses and the forest. We
sing a morning circle song that suits the season. The
children play freely in the sand playground, where they are encouraged and supported. Sometimes there are also activities here
, depending on the season and what gives the children support or simply makes them happy.
We eat together at the breakfast area. Here, too, there are rituals that the children
soon become familiar with and love. Afterwards, they are allowed to “play freely” and there are always seasonally appropriate activities at

pressing flowers and leaves, picking berries, cracking nuts, sowing, watering, harvesting,
tobogganing....).
We leave the forest together and say goodbye at the farewell area. Then
we go to mom or dad or whoever is holding the child again that day.
I try to perceive and see the children's needs and support them at
and at the same time create a framework in which they are part of a group
. This is enriching and if we all take care of each other, it's very good.
