Introduction/specifics

The Kersbach daycare center combines a crèche and a kindergarten under one roof. The kindergarten’s spacious group rooms are complemented by ancillary rooms and a gymnasium, offering plenty of room for play and learning. Large deciduous trees provide shade on hot days in the nature-oriented outdoor area, which offers ample open space for running and playing.

Our physical activity program is enriched by equipment from Hengstenberg and Pikler. These resources are designed to foster personal initiative, independent activity, and social interaction.

For many years, we have received financial support from our friends' association. Membership fees, donations, and proceeds from our second-hand sales enable us to fund field trips, purchase equipment, and fulfill various wishes.

Basics

Our educational approach centers on the child as a competent individual capable of self-determination. We place great importance on respectful interaction, secure attachment, and involving children in everyday decision-making processes. As educators, we support and guide the children in their activities and act as facilitators who provide inspiration. Free play occupies a significant portion of our daily routine, as this is the setting where children best acquire essential foundational skills. Our "partially open" concept allows children to make use of all the indoor spaces as well as the garden.

In the "Maxi-Club" (the final year of preschool before starting school), we avoid rigid, pre-set programs, as these fail to adequately address children's individual needs and interests. Beyond focusing on cognitive and social development, we aim to foster a positive attitude toward school and build the children's confidence in their own abilities.

Description and Stations

The Kersbach day care center is located in a quiet residential area, surrounded by greenery and play areas for the children. It is easily accessible by both car and public transport.
