Basics
The Don Bosco Children's Centre is a place where children feel safe, secure and valued, and where their development is nurtured in an environment inspired by Christian values. We do not simply educate children; we treat each child with genuine respect, care and interest. Children are taken seriously, and rules are developed together with them and explained in a way they can understand.
We believe it is important to foster Christian values such as compassion, tolerance, and respect for others and for the natural world, regardless of the children's individual faith or religious background. We support children on their journey towards independence and aim to equip them with the confidence and resilience they need to meet the challenges of life. Alongside cognitive development, we place great importance on nurturing social skills, emotional well-being, and creativity. Learning does not take place through rigid lessons, but through a balance of child-led and guided play, as well as project-based activities.
We want every child to feel happy, safe and secure at the Children's Centre, knowing they will find understanding and support for their worries and concerns. Our aim is for every child to feel accepted and encouraged to explore and discover new things with joy. In the spirit of Don Bosco: "Be joyful, do good, and let the sparrows whistle!"
