Basics
As a Catholic childcare centre ( St. Johannes der Täufer Forchheim/Reuth), we aim to provide children with a place where they feel safe, secure and valued. At the heart of our work is each individual child, with their unique personality, abilities and needs. Our Christian understanding of the human person conveys an important message to every child: You are valuable and unique.
We support children on their journey towards becoming independent, confident and socially responsible individuals. We place great emphasis on holistic education and development, taking into account each child’s interests and individual stage of development.
A particular focus of our educational work is participation and co-determination. Children are encouraged to express their ideas, wishes and needs, to participate in decision-making and to learn to take responsibility for themselves and others.
Free play is an important part of our daily routine. Through free play, children can develop their own ideas, gain valuable experiences, build social relationships, find solutions to problems and strengthen their independence. In addition, we provide a wide range of educational and experiential opportunities in areas such as language, physical activity, creativity, music, mathematics, nature and the environment, as well as religious education.
Our daily life is shaped by community, mutual respect, tolerance and a lived Christian faith. Celebrations and traditions of the Christian church year are an integral part of our kindergarten life, alongside discovering, exploring, moving and playing together.
A trusting and cooperative partnership with families is particularly important to us. Together, we aim to support each child individually and provide them with the best possible opportunities for their personal development and education.
