Facilities:

Your child grows up in a safe, family-like atmosphere within our small yet excellent facility.

"Spatzennest" (Sparrow's Nest) is situated in the middle of a secure park area in Schmiden, well away from the road.

It is surrounded by greenery and features its own outdoor play area, with a large public playground right next door. The Schmiden district offers plenty of opportunities for walks and exploration.

The two single-story pavilions house numerous play corners with specific themes, as well as quiet areas where children can retreat if needed.

Our spacious premises encourage movement and active play.

We use the modern KiKom app for communication—a tool you can continue to use later on.

Daily Schedule: Butterflies Group (Full-Day / GT) (Schmetterlinge)

08:00 – 09:00 am          Children arrive at the Butterflies group
                                      Free play with optional activities

09:15 am                       Morning circle
                                      Followed by breakfast together and diaper changing

10:00 – 11:15 am          Garden time, walks in the local area, etc.

11:30 am                        Lunch

12:00 pm                        Nap time

02:30 – 03:00 pm          Waking-up period and free play

03:00 pm                        Afternoon snack (flexible timing)

03:30 – 04:00 pm           Free play, garden time

03:00 – 04:00 pm           Pick-up time

Staff:

The children are cared for by six qualified educational professionals and three trainees until they transition to the next stage of kindergarten. Additionally, trained substitute staff are available to step in when needed.

Educational Approach:

The primary goal of our educational work is for children to settle in well at our facility, feel comfortable, experience a sense of security, and build relationships and trust.

We want children to become familiar with the daily routine, the rules, and our rituals.

An emotionally positive environment fosters the quality of relationships and, consequently, learning competence. This forms the foundation for all educational processes.

We achieve this through our gentle settling-in process and the values we actively practice. Once this foundation is established, we offer the children the space and opportunities to discover the world as young explorers.

We view each child as an individual—a unique personality with their own inclinations, wishes, needs, and abilities.

Every child develops at their own pace.

A child is shaped primarily by their family, social environment, and cultural background. They are influenced by their relationships with others and the bonds they form. They learn how to interact with their surroundings by observing role models.

For our educational work, this means we honor, respect, and value each child’s unique personality. We provide the security, consistency, and structure they need to continue their development.

We observe each child, adopt different perspectives, and reflect on our own actions. This allows us to recognize each child's needs and ensure they feel completely supported and accepted in our care.

In cooperation with TSV Schmiden, we take the children to "Schmidolino" every two weeks.

The pavilions are located behind the Fellbacher Straße kindergarten, next to the playground.

Parking is available in the residential area or along Fellbacher Straße (please note: don't forget your parking disc).
