Introduction/specifics

Since 2015, the Kinderhaus Zwergenzügle, under the sponsorship of the AWO Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Rems-Murr gGmbH, has been a full-time care facility for children from one to school enrolment with a total of six groups and currently 95 children. We are located very close to the train station in the premises on the SDK campus.

The Kinderhaus Zwergenzügle offers educational full-time care for 50 children from the age of one to school enrolment, a group with extended opening hours (7am - 2pm) for 25 children from the age of three to school enrolment, as well as 20 places for two supervised playgroups.

Outdoor Facilities

The new outdoor area of ​​the Kinderhaus Zwergenzügle extends over more than 1,000 square meters. In two separate parts of the garden, there is plenty of room to play, romp around, play in the sand and discover the world.

Food

The Kinderhaus Zwergenzügle offers all children in full-time and extended hours care full board. This includes a balanced breakfast, a varied and freshly cooked lunch and a healthy afternoon snack.

EDEKA Hansen in Fellbach and the SDK's canteen are the cooperation partners of the playhouse in matters of catering.

Employee

The team at Kinderhaus Zwergenzügle consists of a diverse mix of people. Of course, children have top priority in everyday life. But friendly, courteous interaction with one another, collegial help and exchange, as well as having fun at work also play a major role here in the playhouse. The training and further education of new colleagues is central too.

Quality Assurance

We work according to an international quality management system (DIN EN ISO 9001:2015). We received our initial certification for this in 2018. On the basis of regular internal and external audits, the standards in the areas of education, hygiene and management are checked.
