Introduction/specifics

The farm kindergarten "Eselsohr" is operated by AWO Rems-Murr gGmbH. The nature kindergarten is located nearby on the field at TREIBER-HOF and is in direct cooperation with the farm.

In this single-group nature kindergarten, 20 children aged three years to school entry are cared for, with opening hours from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Rooms

The farm kindergarten has a 3x12 meter large construction trailer with a 2x12 meter covered terrace, which serves as a shelter for the children in bad weather. You can view the construction trailer on our website.

Outdoor Facilities

The children's house "Eselsohr" covers an area of ​​more than 1000 square meters, designed in close harmony with nature, inviting children to engage in diverse natural experiences. The spacious and appealing grounds provide ample space for children to satisfy their natural urge to move, gather experiences, and explore the world.

Food

Throughout the year, the children plant their own fruits and vegetables in a vegetable garden, which can be consumed on site. In addition, the parents provide a breakfast box and a snack box.The open breakfast phase between 7:30 am and 9:00 am allows children to consider their individual hunger and thus strengthen their sense of their own bodies. The shared snack at 12:00 pm fosters a sense of community and provides an opportunity for conversation about the day.

The team of the farm kindergarten consists of a multi-professional group of staff members. In everyday life, the children naturally take top priority. Furthermore, a friendly, courteous interaction among colleagues, mutual support and exchange, as well as enjoyment in the work, are of great importance. Good orientation, reliable processes and procedures, as well as ongoing training and further education, are central to us.

Quality Assurance

We operate according to an international quality management system (DIN EN ISO 9001:2015). AWO Rems-Murr gGmbH received initial certification for this system in 2018. The standards in all areas are reviewed through regular internal and external audits.

Cooperations

As a facility of AWO Rems-Murr gGmbH, we feel connected not only to the children but also to the local community. A local network provides resources for daily work and cooperation opportunities for events and celebrations.

Our most important cooperation partner is TREIBER-HOF, which has maintained agricultural family traditions in Fellbach since 1683. Through this partnership, the children of Kinderhaus Eselsohr can experience firsthand when and how things are sown, tended, and harvested. Additionally, they have animal interactions that offer diverse learning opportunities.
