Introduction/specifics

To make it easier to combine family and work, Großtagespflegen are an important, flexible building block to relieve the burden on parents. Due to their family-oriented nature and the individual and flexible solutions for parents, they are particularly suitable for children under three years of age, but children over three also appreciate a smaller, quieter group. Großtagespflege is therefore becoming increasingly popular as a separate form of childcare.

With a gentle acclimatization process for parents and children, an important bond and trust in the caregiver develops. In our large day care center "Wasser-Wichtel" a maximum of 10 children up to the age of around 3 are cared for at the same time. After reaching the age of 3, they can then move to the neighboring group "Dschungel-Kids", where they already know the children and the caregivers. This means that the development processes of each child can be addressed individually. Experience has shown that children of this age feel safer and more secure in small, age-homogeneous groups, so that the educational mission can be fulfilled more successfully.

Everyday life is organized in a loving and family-oriented manner.

Rooms

All childcare facilities have harmoniously designed rooms that are arranged in a way that stimulates the children's senses and offer sufficient play materials that ensure individual development with a high degree of homely warmth and safety.

Two of our large day care facilities have been located in Feldkirchen since September 1st, 2014, right next to the S-Bahn. There we have around 120m² of space for the "Jungle Kids" and around 150m² for the "Water Elves" for fun playing.

Daily Schedule

Planned daily routine:

The times depend on the needs and rhythm of the children. They also depend on the day's events, the group situation, the planned activities and the weather conditions.

7.45 a.m. - 8.45 a.m. drop-off time: After the goodbye kiss from mom or dad, the children can cuddle or play freely if they want.

9.00 a.m. - 9.45 a.m. morning circle and snack: All children should be there by now at the latest. During the morning circle we sing our first song together.

We set the table together, shake hands and then eat our healthy second breakfast together. We also help to clear up together; then we wash our hands and mouths.

9.45 a.m. - 11.15 a.m. exercise and project work: Depending on the weather (with the exception of extreme sub-zero temperatures or storms), nature is now explored. When the weather is bad, we let off steam with gymnastics and/or dancing or do crafts, read, sing on a theme - depending on the season and the age of the child.

11.15 - 11.30 a.m. Hygiene: As needed - changing diapers and going to the toilet. Washing hands.

11.30 a.m. - 12.15 p.m. Lunch: We clean up together and then set the tables together.

After eating, the diapers are checked again and hands and mouths are washed.

12.15 - 2 p.m. Nap/pick-up time: Each child sleeps in their own bed with quiet background music and is allowed to bring their stuffed animal, pacifier, etc.

2 p.m. - 2.15 p.m. Hygiene/pick-up time: As needed - changing diapers, going to the toilet and possibly brushing teeth.

2:15 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Play and fruit/pick-up time: The children are allowed to play freely, individual games are played and we offer fresh fruit. Depending on the pick-up time, we go outside again.

Food

In the morning, a healthy second breakfast is eaten together.

Lunch is free. Parents bring the ingredients twice a month.

Fresh food is cooked every day.

The children are given bibs, we shake hands and say our mealtime prayer together. The children who cannot yet eat by themselves are fed.

In the afternoon, fresh fruit is offered, brought by different parents each week. The children are allowed to help themselves.

The carers have received infection control instructions, which are updated annually.
