Introduction/specifics

The KIOSK KINDERGARTEN is a small kindergarten for up to 14 children, run by a trained and experienced psychologist. Great importance is attached to encouraging 3 to 6 year old children develop their creativity and guide them towards a harmonious socialization. The active participation of the parents who take it in turns to assist the teacher, proves also helpful in the parental care at home.

Type of parent participation:              

• One parent assists the group leader each morning.
• Frequency of participation per parent: 2-3 times per month
• Participation is mandatory for at least one parent from each family!

Please note:

At least a basic knowledge of German on the part of the parent involved in the service is necessary for communication within the team!

Rooms

Premises

Inside, the property at Artilleriestr.110 comprises two separate recreation and play rooms measuring approx. 54 square metres and 20 square metres, a kitchen, a sanitary area, a cloakroom and a cellar area.

An additional recreation room, which is used on Thursdays in the winter months, is available before and after the weekly visit to the indoor swimming pool in the neighbouring Frankenhof leisure centre.
Equipment

In one part of the larger room there is climbing equipment with a slide, a raised play area, various mattresses for gymnastics and building, a rope ladder with ceiling suspension, a large blackboard, a shop etc. In the other part there is a cosy reading sofa, shelves of musical instruments, play materials and books, craft cupboards, a dressing-up box and a large table group with chairs and benches

In the smaller room there is a workbench adapted for children with a tool shelf and board. The second attraction here is a climbing wall (with overhang panel and courses of varying degrees of difficulty) across two wall surfaces. It is secured by a large gymnastics mat that can also be set up to save space, so that bobby cars and tricycles can also be parked here.
Outdoor area

All outdoor areas are located separately from the property, as no additional land area is assigned to the building.

Food

Lunch

In view of the pick-up time until 1.00 pm, a large breakfast is offered instead of lunch at around 10.00 am ... as well as a vegetable and/or fruit snack after 12.00 pm if required.

Breakfast, snack

Breakfast is offered to all participants in the same form - according to the choice and preparation of the relevant parent service. Individual children are always happy to take part in putting it together - and especially when home-baked goods or salads are prepared - all the children also take part. Attention is always paid to a varied, wholesome diet. Fruit and vegetables are available to the children every day.

Any dietary restrictions for individual children (e.g. due to allergies) are taken into consideration in the preparation of the meals as far as possible.

Drinks

Various warm teas (unsweetened), water (and occasionally freshly squeezed apple juice in autumn) are available to the children at all times in the facility. The children bring their own drinking bottles for continuous outdoor activities and excursions.
