Introduction/specifics

The Hort Schillerstraße is a single-group facility where up to 27 children, from the time they start school until the completion of fourth grade, are cared for. We are located north of the city center of Erlangen and are within the catchment area of the Adalbert-Stifter-Grundschule.

A balanced lunch is of great importance to us, which is why we prepare fresh meals daily.

The Hort is open during school holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The closure days of the facility are announced at the beginning of each school year.

Rooms

Our facility is housed in a historic, listed brick building. In the after-school care center, children will find a building corner for creative Lego projects and a cozy relaxation room. Additionally, we offer a homework room where children can complete their assignments in peace, as well as a group room used for lunch and free playtime.

Outdoor Facilities

The Kinderhort Schillerstraße has its own garden and a spacious outdoor area, which is perfect for playing with vehicles. Additionally, the garden offers opportunities for climbing and playing with water.

Daily Schedule

Here is a rough overview of our daily schedule. Please note that it may change slightly, as we act and plan according to the situation:

Arrival and homework time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Lunch: 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Free play, projects, and homework: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m

Food

In our facility, fresh meals are prepared daily, primarily using organic ingredients. We have our own chef for this purpose. Children can actively participate in shaping the menu, resulting in a new menu plan every week

We place special emphasis on fostering the social skills of children. To achieve this, we offer a variety of activities, projects, and holiday programs. Homework supervision is a fixed component of our daily routine.

Every week, we offer a variety of exciting projects that provide children with opportunities to learn new things and express their creativity. On Fridays, we set aside homework and instead go on excursions in the region or organize engaging activities within our facility. During the holidays, we create a diverse program with various activities and exciting day trips to ensure the children have an unforgettable time.
