Current information

Introduction/specifics

The Katholische Kirchenstiftung ‚Mariä Himmelfahrt’ built the building of our current facility in 1975 and also took over the sponsorship.

In 2005, in addition to the existing four kindergarten groups, the first after-school care children were admitted and school child care became a permanent institution.

After the basic renovation of the existing building and an additional new building in 2012, the crèche group opened.

The kindergarten became a daycare center and has since cared for up to 140 children aged one to ten years.

OUR CRIP

In the crèche we care for children from the 1st to the 3rd year of life. We offer the very youngest a learning and living space to promote mental, physical and emotional development.

In a mixed-age small group, the nursery creates a variety of new experiences.

We offer situational play, learning and life according to the needs of the children. In this way, they are encouraged to test their ability to act in everyday life.

Close and understanding cooperation between teachers and parents is essential. Only in this way can the child's development be supported in a targeted manner.

OPENING HOURS DAY NURSERY:

Mon. to Fri. from 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

OUR KINDERGARTEN

The kindergarten offers children from the age of 2.5 years until school enrollment living spaces with a variety of educational and experiential opportunities.

We support and encourage the children in their development in a playful and age-appropriate manner. We offer them an additional space of experience outside the family, where they can make contact with peers and expand their independence.

The educational partnership with the parents is also of great importance. Close cooperation promotes a positive attitude towards each other and creates ideal conditions for the development of the children entrusted to us.

OPENING HOURS KINDERGARTEN:

Mon. to Fri. from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

OUR HORT

Our after-school care center offers school children between the ages of 6 and 10 a professional educational program with a variety of age-specific educational and experiential opportunities. There is also daily homework supervision in small groups.

We focus on the current needs of the children and their age-specific developmental tasks.
One of our core pedagogical tasks is the acquisition of key competencies such as personality development, social responsibility, knowledge and learning skills.

This is done in close, educational partnership with parents and school.

OPENING HOURS AFTER-SCHOOL CARE:

Mon. to Fri. from the end of school until 4:00 p.m.

Rooms

Our premises are designed in a manageable and child-friendly manner and are divided into various play corners. We have six group rooms, which are relatively large. They are designed according to the needs, interests and activities of the children and offer space for self-educational play. Retreat possibilities create an atmosphere of security. Three adjoining rooms for small group work, creative work and individual support are available to the facility.

There is a gymnastics room in our house for weekly gymnastics lessons.

The large and friendly homework room is used for mathematical and scientific activities in the morning and is available to the after-school children as a homework room in the afternoon.

A kitchen allows us to distribute food for the children's lunch. In addition, we cook and bake with the children at regular intervals.

Outdoor Facilities

Children need movement to try out and develop all their senses. Through movement, they experience the world and themselves.

By including the corridors and the almost 7000 square meter garden with many natural play and adventure areas, we also offer a lot of space for movement.

Therefore, we use our outdoor area very intensively every day in any weather and at any time of the year.

Our spacious garden offers enough room for the children to live out their urge to move. Trees and bushes invite the children to climb. On the large lawn, for example, soccer can be played or scooters and pedal cars can be ridden. Various playground equipment, such as a slide, seesaw, climbing poles, willow teepee, tree house, bird's nest swing and sandboxes expand the offer. A hill located in the northern part of the garden is used as a sledding hill in winter.

Our crèche children can be all to themselves in the age-appropriate and partitioned garden.

Food

Lunch

Participation in lunch is obligatory for all children who stay at the facility beyond lunchtime.

We obtain our food from the Zwergerlkoch in Oderding.

Organic products

We use organic products for the monthly cereal day, for the weekly fruit and vegetable plate, as well as for the joint breakfast on festive occasions.

Basics

Our mission is the education, upbringing and care of children. In doing so, we work according to the Bayerischen Kinderbildungs- und Betreuungsgesetz.

Our daycare center is part of the parish community. We teach the basics of Christian values and respect the uniqueness of each child.

Situation-oriented work, celebrations in the church year and the annual cycle, as well as the design of projects are an integral part of the pedagogical work of our facility.

We promote the development of the children into self-reliant, community-minded, value-oriented and creative people.

The free play of the children takes up a lot of space in our everyday life. Therefore, we create free space for independent learning and give the children the opportunity to try things out on their own.

Employee

Our team looks forward to meeting you and your child.

In the entire facility are

  • the management
  • the permanent deputy management
  • educators
  • nursery nurses
  • Kitahelper
  • trainee educators, and
  • hourly a janitor and a kitchen worker

are employed.

We are also a training center. Throughout the daycare year, interns from specialized academies and vocational schools for child care, interns from the FOS and trial interns from various schools supplement our team.

Qualification

Qualified pedagogical work with children requires professional and personal competences of all employees. Qualified and motivated staff is the most important resource and prerequisite for pedagogical work. The motivation and professional development of all employees is promoted through various forms of personnel development and employee qualification. This is done by:

  • Targeted selection and induction of new employees
  • Leadership of the employees through a cooperative management style and through target agreements.
  • Regular appraisal interviews
  • Regular training of all employees
  • Continuous exchange within the team
  • Joint activities and celebrations
  • Active participation in working groups and conferences
  • Qualified guidance of interns

We are a motivated and competent team that is constantly training and offering the children the best possible education, upbringing and care. Our interaction with each other is characterized by openness, respect and friendliness. What children and parents should experience is first lived in the team community and from there is radiated to the atmosphere of our facility.                                                                                                                                                                                      All staff members attach particular importance to a friendly, open atmosphere in which the children feel comfortable and experience and learn basic social rules.

Cooperations

We see ourselves as part of the community. We maintain contacts with church and local associations. In addition, the children organize a visit to the residents of the retirement home every year. We also have contacts with the volunteer fire department, the police, the music school, various local craft businesses and the dentist's office.

Teamwork with school

Our daycare center is supervised by two cooperation teachers from the Carl Orff Elementary School.

We jointly organize a parents' evening on the topic of "school readiness" and organize mutual visits of school classes and kindergarten groups. We offer advice on school enrollment and school child and homework supervision.

In addition, we are in close exchange and cooperation with the Förderzentrum Landsberg.

Teamwork with parents

We consider parents as our partners in the educational work with the children and involve them in the pedagogical work.
