Who we are:

The kindergarten ''Schatzkiste'' is a two-group kindergarten in the district of Griedel. Here, up to 45 children aged 2 years to school entry are lovingly cared for.

what makes us special?

Our kindergarten is located in a very rural area in the Butzbach district of Griedel. We are firmly integrated into the village structures and club life. The cooperation with the local clubs is part of every kindergarten year. The kindergarten traditionally takes part in festivals and activities.

Food

Lunch is provided by Kochfabrik Wetterau, which supplies us with a varied, child-friendly lunch every day.
We make sure that the mornings are almost sugar-free and that children bring a healthy, chewy breakfast from home.

Basics

We work partially open and cross-age. The extended age mix from 2 years to school entry. Language support and integration are important elements of our daily pedagogical work.

Teamwork with school

Since the district of Griedel belongs to the catchment area of the "Degerfeldschule" in Butzbach, most of the children living here start school at the age of 5 due to the existing entrance school. There is also cooperation and professional exchange with other schools when we care for children from these catchment areas.

Our "preschoolers", i.e. children who are in their last year of kindergarten, meet for special activities and projects.
Within the framework of these meetings, we are particularly concerned with strengthening skills such as concentration, perception, independence, and fine motor skills.
