Introduction/specifics

Our Sonnenschein daycare center is located in the rural community of Buttstädt in the district of Buttstädt, in a quiet upper part of town within a newly built residential area. Its proximity to the sports field and Lohwald forest encourages the children to engage in a variety of physical activities. Exercise, sports, and physical and sensory experiences play an important role in our daily routine at the daycare center. We have been awarded the “Quality Seal for Movement-Friendly Daycare Centers” and are also a certified Kneipp facility.

At our daycare center, up to 160 children can be cared for by “Knut von Kneipp” throughout the day. Children are accepted from the age of 1 into one of our two nursery groups. The outdoor area, which is specially designated for nursery children, offers a wide range of opportunities for our youngest children to move, discover, and play in accordance with their special needs. When they reach the age of 3, the children move to our kindergarten area. Here, the children are accompanied to school in age-homogeneous groups with permanent reference educators. A secure, stable, and reliable bond between children and their teachers is very important to us. That is why our educational staff accompany the children in their group throughout their entire kindergarten career. In this way, we create a trusting environment for your children in which they can develop into independent, self-confident schoolchildren.

In addition to the child-friendly group and sleeping areas, our facility also features a spacious exercise room, a Kneipp area for various water treatments, a relaxation and snoezel room, a children's restaurant, and a traffic garden.

Together with the children, we organize their daily routine according to their needs and interests. Depending on their age and stage of development, we involve the children in decisions that affect them and their everyday life at kindergarten.

We see ourselves as a family-complementary institution and are not only there for the children, but also always have an open ear for the wishes of the parents. Working with parents is a very important part of our daily work. Admission interviews, parents' evenings, informal chats, regular development meetings, counseling services, organizing joint parties and celebrations, and trusting cooperation in the parents' council are important elements in the educational partnership between parents and the kindergarten team.

We offer full board at our facility. We place great importance on a healthy, varied, and child-friendly diet. Our technical staff lovingly prepare breakfast and afternoon snacks.

We receive our lunch from Apetito. We can put together the lunch meals for the children ourselves.
