Premises
To meet the needs of the children, we offer them stimulating group rooms. Here they find a variety of activities and learning areas to become active according to their stage of development and interests.
At the same time, there are retreats for reading, resting and relaxing.
The after-school care center is located directly next to the elementary school in the center of Burgthann.
The outdoor facilities are used jointly by our school and after-school children. These include the school playground, the football field, the large climbing frame, the after-school garden and the community gymnasium.

Mission statement
It's nice that you exist and that you are the way you are!
The basis of our work is the Bavarian Education Plan. We see the children as responsible actors and constructors of their own development.
It is our task to accompany and support them in this development and to create the appropriate framework conditions. We design our educational institution as a democratic community in which children are involved in the decisions of everyday life at the day care center in a manner appropriate to their development and are encouraged to think and act in a sustainable manner. We treat children, parents and each other with respect and empathy. Mutual trust is the basis for a successful, cooperative educational partnership for the benefit of the children entrusted to us.
The after-school care center should be an active part of the community that conveys belonging and corresponding values such as tolerance, trust, esteem and respect for people, creation and the Creator.
Pedagogical focus
The focal points of our work include environmental education, participation and education in democratic behavior. The focus is on the child as a person who acts, thinks and feels. We create a positive atmosphere by appreciating and responding to the uniqueness of each child. We place great value on respectful, open and dialogical interaction with children, colleagues and parents.
We encourage the talents and inclinations of the children and lead them to personal responsibility and independence. The child is valued as a competent creator of his or her development.

During the vacations, the after-school care center is open daily from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
When all children have arrived, we start the day at 9:00 a.m. with a joint breakfast.
Afterwards, the activities and projects begin according to the vacation program developed in advance with the children. We also like to use this time for larger excursions and projects.
The homework time from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in our after-school care center is to be seen as an opportunity to deepen and practice what has been learned in class. In classrooms of the school, in fixed homework groups, with fixed reference persons, the children get the opportunity to do their homework independently and on their own responsibility within the existing framework and thus acquire their own work attitude. The daily final check is the duty of the parents.
We are open to all children from 1st to 4th grade who attend the elementary school in Burgthann.
