Current information

Introduction/specifics

Dear Parents,
we are pleased that you would like to enroll your child in our facility.
Our facility is located in the center of Buchenbach in and as a structure on the Sommerberghalle.
Our day care center is run by a Catholic organization.
Christian education is therefore an essential part of our pedagogical work, is the basis of our pedagogical orientation and corresponds to our self-image.
Our facility also accepts children from other faiths and non-denominational families. Since we primarily focus on and live the Christian faith, it requires mutual openness and good consultation so that the families also feel safe and in good hands when it comes to this topic.
For us, every child is unique, special and the focus of our pedagogical work. In close cooperation with you as parents, we would like to accompany and support each child on his or her individual path in this stage of life. In close cooperation with you as the family, we accompany and encourage each child on his or her individual path in life.

Basics

Our institution is defined by two core concepts:

Concept of open space while maintaining home group affiliation.

Concept of open space

In the use of our rooms we follow the concept of the open room.

This way of using the rooms has an impact on all pedagogical and organizational contents and on the whole daily routine and is therefore of crucial importance for our institution.

Each group room of the house accommodates only one educational area and is characterized by a differentiated room design in its respective function.

Through the clarity of the room layout and equipment, we help the children to choose their play.

The reduction to one theme results in a larger amount of space and a variety of materials, which increases the challenge character and causes a longer and more intensive engagement with a theme. The children meet "like-minded people" in the rooms.

Well thought-out design encourages initiative, orientation, communication, social interaction, physical experience and aesthetic sensation, stimulates children's perception and inspires creativity.

The rooms are fields of research and experimentation in which the children can use all their senses to develop an image of themselves, of others and of the world.

It is important to us that the children feel comfortable, so they can exhibit their own works in the rooms, influence the design of the rooms themselves and help shape them according to their ideas of comfort, security and aesthetics.

People and rooms are inseparable and it is a primal need to have a dwelling that offers protection, orientation and security, "rooms have an effect on our senses".

When children change rooms, they automatically change educational areas or vice versa. This means getting involved again with different materials, different rules, a different atmosphere, different play partners and a different educator personality. In our experience, the children manage this "easily" after a good settling-in phase.

Home group affiliation

There are four main groups in our kindergarten:

the cat group
the dog group
the bird group
spatially separated the toddler group, the butterflies group.

Each child has its own group.

The child's first route when arriving at the facility always leads to his or her home group and to the reference teachers. There the morning greeting takes place.

The educators in the home group are the child's reference educators and the first contact persons for the parents. After the familiarization phase and successful integration of the child into the kindergarten routine, we advocate a prompt farewell of the parents from their children in front of the home group in order to promote independence.
