Introduction/specifics

You will find our facility south of Leipzig in the direction of Chemnitz, a 10-minute drive from the large district town of Borna. It is located in the center of Neukirchen, in direct connection with the primary school. All children living in the catchment area of ​​the districts of Neukirchen, Wyhra, Zedtlitz and Thräna can visit our after-school care center. A school bus connection several times a day is ensured. The after-school care center "Abenteuerland" has been sponsored by Volkssolidarität since 1995 and, after a thorough renovation in 2013, offers space for up to 115 children. Five state-approved educators and a well-recognized childhood educator are employed in our after-school care center. Four group rooms, a large multi-purpose room and a library shared with the primary school are available to the children every day, in which they can meet their diverse interests such as being creative, moving, building, withdrawing and playing in a wide variety of ways. A cozy garden as well as the play area and playground offer enough space for all children. Only a few minutes separate us from the sports field, the gym, the Harthsee and the nature reserves in the Wyhratal.

Food

Lunch is delivered to us fresh every day via the provider MENÜ & PARTY EXPRESS Lars Kurth GmbH. The children can choose between three meals.

The food billing is done directly by the food provider.

With us, the children have the opportunity to drink fresh tea, juice or water every day. You have free access to this at any time.

Basics

The situation-oriented approach has become the basis for our educational work. The children learn to be able to act in a wide variety of life situations, they process individual experiences and experiences. The focus is on what interests and occupies the children. Our facility accompanies, supports and complements the education and upbringing in the family, promotes the independent, healthy and community development of the children. Particularly the nature-loving and ecological education and upbringing is of great importance. Close cooperation with the parents and teachers of the primary school is also important to us.

Holiday Care

During the holidays, the after-school care center is open from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this time, the children can take part in daily offers. A previous request for holiday care is very helpful to us for precise planning.

Homework Support

The homework supervision takes place with us over an open homework time. All children from the second to the fourth grade can do their homework independently within a specified period of time. The children in grade 1 remain in the class group while doing their homework.
