Teamwork with parents
The Educational Partnership
The education of the children should be formulated and lived as a task of partnership between the daycare center and the family. A basis of trust between the institution and the family is therefore fundamental. We want to consolidate this through transparent cooperation that is geared to the needs of the children. We are open to families of any culture, religion and language. Depending on their needs and life situation, we look at each individual family individually.
A first intensive contact takes place during the admission interview. In this we get to know the families and their individual needs. Parents are the "experts" of their children and are involved in the children's developmental processes. We work closely with the families. To this end, a regular exchange is important in order to jointly develop objectives that are implemented by as many people as possible.
We have the possibility to involve different institutions in order to provide good support for the respective child – e.g. occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, motor therapists.
Furthermore, we offer a wide network of family support services. For many years, the GfS Bielefeld e.V. has a comprehensive range of services with many experts. For Example, services for disabled people with individual care , family support service and personal school support. We also have a comprehensive advice and training in-house. In 2021, "Familycare-Erziehungshilfen" joined forces with GfS inorder to sopport families through its broad range of offering.

Parents receive all important information from the house through, Flipcharts, letters or e-mails.
In the daily "smalltalks " we pass on experiences and important information of the day.
It is important to us to talk to all parents about their children's development at least once a year. Our educational documentation is the basis for this. In doing so, we try to focus on the child with his or her strengths and convey to the parents to trust in their child's abilities. In our experience, this is a good way to build up further development steps. Together, we develop individual ways to accompany and support for the child.
