Introduction/specifics

Dear Parents, My name is Lina Friess, and it would be a pleasure to welcome you and your children to my loving day care center. I was born on January 14, 1975 and have a family who live with me in a cozy single-family house with a large garden in Bielefeld-Heepen. I am originally a trained office clerk and have worked in this area for a long time. Nevertheless, I have always had the desire to work with children. With a lot of motivation, I completed my qualification in child day care, and now my training and my experience in raising my own children enable me to offer warm and reliable care. In my home, your children will not only find a lovingly designed space, but also a safe place where they can develop. Our days will be filled with games, learning and shared activities. I attach great importance to creating an environment in which every child feels comfortable and secure. Aside from my professional work, I love traveling, playing sports, cycling and implementing creative projects.

Rooms

My care center is located in a quiet cul-de-sac at Heeperholz 35 and is easily accessible by public transport. There is ample parking available so you can easily drop off and pick up your children. There are several playgrounds in our area, and the Stieghorsterbach flows nearby, which we can visit with the crib car. Our home is a bungalow with a basement, and on the ground floor there is a care room of around 30 square meters, which is equipped with two large window elements. There is also a shared kitchen where we cook and eat, a separate bedroom for the day children, a hallway and a toilet. The care room is designed as follows: · Each child has their own sleeping place. · There is a changing table. · A cozy cozy and reading corner is available. · Open shelves with toys and books are located at eye level and are easily accessible for children. · A table with chairs is available for crafts, painting and other creative activities. We almost exclusively use wooden toys that have been tested for safety and are suitable for children aged 1-3 years. There is also a large selection of Lego Duplo and books. The game offers are changed regularly in order to always offer new incentives. The kitchen offers enough space to cook and eat together. A toilet with a small sink, a step stool, a children's toilet seat and a potty is also available. Part of the fenced garden belongs to the children, where they have a swing, a sandpit, a slide and plenty of space to play and run around.

Daily Schedule

The drop-off time is between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., during this time the welcome and free play takes place. From 9:00 a.m. to around 9:30 a.m. we have breakfast together. The children then wash their hands and are changed as needed. We go outside around 10:00 a.m., weather permitting. Otherwise we read, sing, paint, do crafts, dance or do gymnastics. From 11:30 a.m. I prepare lunch, which is eaten together between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. After lunch we clean up together, change diapers and wash the children. Rest or bedtime is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. Children can be picked up by their parents from 3 p.m. After 3:00 p.m. there is free play and snacks until pickup. When picking up, please ensure that the child is dressed by the person picking up. The child then says goodbye to the other children and me. The same applies when bringing the child: The child is undressed or changed by the person bringing it and should be brought with a fresh diaper, without food or drink in hand.

Food

I attach great importance to a healthy and balanced diet. Sweet foods are generally excluded, except on special occasions such as children's birthdays and after prior agreement with parents. Breakfast is brought from home, but sweets are not permitted. I provide drinks such as milk, water or unsweetened tea. Lunch is prepared fresh by me every day and contains both plant and animal foods. I do not prepare special food, such as infant milk or baby bottles, unless this has been agreed with the parents in advance and they can bring it with them. As snacks, I provide the children with seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as snacks such as sesame sticks, corn sticks and sugar-free cookies to snack on. All meals are eaten together at the dining table unless we are out and about. When choosing the food and the quantity, I base it on the child, respecting the child's feeling of satiety and the rejection of certain foods.

Qualification

I work as a childminder and have a care permit in accordance with Section 43 Paragraph 1 SGB VIII, which must be renewed every five years In my educational work, my primary goal is to support and encourage children to shape their lives independently and to successfully overcome challenges. As an empathetic and trustworthy caregiver, I support the children. I use playful methods to help children recognize their individual strengths and abilities and actively promote their further development. The focus is on singing together, reading and looking at picture books to awaken the children's joy in speaking and listening. To develop children's creativity, I provide a diverse selection of materials, including colored pencils, drawing paper, crayons, playdough and chalk. During free play, it is my job to provide the children with enough space, a variety of materials and enough time. I observe the children carefully, accompany them sensitively and encourage them specifically. If necessary, I provide support to the children and respond to their individual wishes and needs. I look forward to working with the children to create a positive and enriching learning environment.

Teamwork with parents

Close, honest and transparent cooperation with parents is very important to me. Before starting to look after your child, I ask you to inform me comprehensively about your child's development and health status, sleep rituals (calming aids), eating habits (porridge or solid food, allergies, intolerances), sleeping and eating times as well as your child's favorite toys and activities inform. Anything that cannot be discussed during drop-off and pick-up times can be clarified at a timely appointment for a personal or telephone conversation. Mutual appreciation, recognition and support are crucial in giving children a positive self-image.
