Introduction/specifics

At Mini-Kita Bergolinis, our pedagogical focus lies in nature education, combined with a toy-free concept.

We place great emphasis on offering children opportunities to explore nature with all their senses. They experience the changing seasons, learn about various weather conditions, and observe natural processes throughout the yearly cycle. No matter the weather, we are committed to spending time outdoors with the children.

This daily connection to nature supports a holistic learning process that engages multiple levels of perception. In doing so, the children gradually discover and understand the world around them.

Through gentle educational guidance and plenty of space for natural curiosity, our nature-based approach encourages children to form mindful, respectful relationships with the world of plants and animals.

Rooms

In our house with a spacious garden, children at the Bergolinis have something exciting to discover, explore, and marvel at every day. The generous, light-filled rooms invite children to freely develop, express their creativity, and find cozy spaces to retreat. Our group room offers plenty of space for creativity, play, and shared experiences. Twice a week, we cook and bake fresh, delicious vegetarian meals together with the children in the adjoining kitchen.
For relaxation and restful sleep, there is a multi-purpose room available, which also serves as a play area during the day.
The modern bathroom is equipped with two child-sized toilets, a large changing table, and a shower tray.
We are especially proud of our garden: Here, children can play to their heart’s content, plant, harvest, and process fruits and vegetables together, and help with keeping everything in good shape—allowing them to experience nature with all their senses every day.

Daily Schedule

  • Children are brought on time—according to their booked hours—by 8:30 a.m.
  • At around 8:30 a.m., we hold our morning circle, greeting each other, looking at the weather, planning the day, and singing songs together.
  • After the morning circle, we enjoy a shared breakfast.
  • Throughout the day, children are changed as needed.
  • Afterwards, we offer educational activities, allow time for free play, go on excursions and discovery walks in the surrounding nature, or spend time in the garden.
  • Before lunch, the children get ready for bed with the support of the educators, change clothes, and use the toilet or are changed.
  • From around 11:30 a.m. we have lunch together.
  • After lunch, the children are accompanied to the nap room and put to bed. An educator supervises the sleeping children, while those who are awake engage in quiet activities in the group room.
  • Core hours end at 2:00 p.m.—children are picked up according to their booked times.
  • Depending on opening hours, an afternoon snack is offered at around 2:30 p.m., and afterward, the children may continue to enjoy free play until the Bergolinis close
