Introduction/specifics

We are a parents' initiative that has been in existence since 1997 and supports the development of our children during their primary school years. Our childcare staff are in close contact with parents and the school.

In our centre, the children are allowed to be children, forget about school for a while and reduce the stress of lessons. We emphasise encouraging the children without overtaxing them, inviting them rather than overloading them. We accompany the children through their primary school years with respect and consideration and with great attention to their individual pace of development.

Here, the children learn to show consideration for others, to take responsibility and to act as part of a group. Friendships are forged outside of the class community, social skills are trained and self-confidence is strengthened. And as part of our daily experience, we playfully convey an appreciation for our environment, people and animals.

Rooms

When the weather is suitable, we offer the more active children the opportunity to let off steam in our garden or on the neighbouring school playground/sports field.

A relaxation room offers peace and quiet and a place to retreat - to relax or simply to read a book from our small library.

In our movement room, the children can let out their energy by building and playing with child-friendly elements.

Our ‘living room’ offers plenty of space for playing with building blocks, board games or free play.

The school's craft room is also available in the afternoons for crafting, painting and being creative. We offer various materials such as clay, colours and fabrics, to name but a few, for designing, exploring and experimenting.

Lunch is served in our canteen after school (depending on the individual time table) and is specially tailored to the needs of school children (vitamins, minerals, etc.).
