Who are we?

Our after-school care center is an educational facility that supports and complements family education with regard to educational and developmental tasks.

Who are we there for?

Our services are primarily aimed at children who attend elementary school in Herschfeld.

Importance of the room concept

We work according to the open concept, in which the children can develop and unfold freely. Incentives in the individual rooms can be implemented, changed and further developed by the children.

Outdoor Facilities

We share our outdoor area with the Herschfeld elementary school, with which we are located in the same building.

It has a red area with a soccer pitch and basketball hoop, a large scaffold for climbing, a spacious sand area and a hammock for relaxing. The children tend their own raised beds together with the after-school staff.

Daily Schedule

11.20-12.15: free playtime on the premises

12.15: 1st group lunch 

13.00: 2nd group lunch

13.00-14.00: play and exercise time in the playground

14.00-15.00: homework time (Mon-Thu)

16.00: free afternoon snack

15.00-17.00: free playtime on the premises

Food

We are supplied by the Städt. day care center in Herschfeld. The cost is €4.20 per meal, which can be ordered as required. Children who are not registered bring their own snack.

Drinks are available for a contribution towards expenses of €5 per month.

Basics

What sets us apart?

In a family-like atmosphere, children experience protection, security, and recognition. Each child is recognized for their uniqueness, and their abilities are recognized and developed. At regular student meetings, children express their wishes, needs, and concerns, thus actively shaping the day-to-day life of the center.

Our Goals

Every child should be able to develop into an independent and socially capable individual in our center. Teamwork with school

Our proximity to the elementary school allows us to maintain close contact with the teachers of our after-school children. Meetings take place here at least once a year, as well as on a case-by-case basis. Parent-teacher meetings are also held in cooperation with the elementary school if necessary. We are happy to participate in school activities such as the school festival and cooperate regarding the mutual use of our facilities.

Teamwork with parents

Trusting contact with parents is important to us. We value openness, honesty and respectful interaction with one another. 

Planned parent-teacher conferences take place in our facility as required, and joint parent activities stimulate interaction.

8.00 to 17.00

Daily routine:

9.00: Breakfast
12.00: Lunch
In the afternoon: Snack time as required

During the vacation period, the children have the opportunity to use our spacious facilities - away from homework. Special activities and excursions also take place during this time.

Homework Support

During a fixed homework time - Mon-Thu from 2.00 to 3.00 p.m. - the children complete schoolwork in a quiet atmosphere with the help of their teachers.

There is no homework supervision on Fridays.
