Introduction/specifics

In the sense of inclusion, we see kindergarten as a "house for all children".

Our pedagogy is based on the assumption:

- It is normal to be different. -

For us, working "offen" means first and foremost being open to ALL CHILDREN and their families. Our aim is to look at each child individually and, together with the parents, to create the best possible conditions for growing up together with other children. We adapt our organization and structure to the changing needs of families.

Our system is flexible and can therefore respond to diversity and special challenges. Our pedagogy is designed to make the diversity of children, families and staff "blossom".

Rooms

Forscherzimmer: Constructing, observing, comparing, measuring, weighing, etc.  - everything that invites you to research and discover under the term STEM at this age, e.g.: shadow and light, building with natural materials, basic understanding of quantities and numbers, media education, letters and writing, etc. 

Farbenwerkstatt: Development of creativity and the expression of one's own feelings, experiences, ideas with many different tools, materials and individual levels of difficulty --> Each child can become artistically active at his or her level of competence. 

Bibliothek: a small room with books, story bags, narrative tracks and Kamishibai for viewing, telling, experiencing, philosophizing together in a quiet atmosphere

Raum der Wünsche: adapts to the respective needs of the children, is used in a variety of ways, e.g. for discussion groups, role plays, Lego days or project ideas; external 1:1 offers through early intervention and therapists can also be carried out here (cooperation with the corresponding organizations)

Küche: here the children can practice cutting techniques, discover new foods and dishes, and the children are also involved in setting and clearing the table together

Krippenzimmer: a room for our little ones between the ages of 1 and 2 years, to arrive and experience security with age-appropriate suggestions and challenges 

MiDi-Zimmer (MittenDrIn): the children between 2 and 3 years have a base from which they can already explore the area of the 3-6 year olds, with increasing self-organization in everyday life and the choice of play location;

Hausgang: The daily breakfast buffet for the children is offered here. The children should be given as much independence and organisation as possible. The range of dishes should always offer a healthy and varied selection. 
 

 

Outdoor Facilities

Our great advantage is our spacious outdoor area, with tall trees that provide us plenty of shade in summer. In the hedges around the site there are numerous secret paths, robbers' caves and secret hiding places. 
The wide slide, the large elephant seesaw or the double and nest swing invite you to play with each other, which is particularly important to us. In addition to recognizing the diversity and difference of the children, we are always looking for commonalities, community and interaction between the children. 

A climbing frame requires skill and balance. For the large, partially covered sandpit, the children will find various toys and everyday materials for building, constructing, and research. In summer the children will have water play tables at their disposal. If the weather is not so sunny, we make it possible for the children - equipped with waterproof mud pants and rubber boots - to play experimentalwith puddles and mud. Our "garden" is used daily and, thanks to our pedagogical concept, is always available to children who need exercise and free play. 

 

Daily Schedule

7:00 - 9:00 a.m. arrival, welcome, free play 

The children arrive at the kindergarten and parents have the opportunity to pass on important information to the staff. 

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Discussion Circles 

In age-homogeneous groups of max. 15 children, there is space and time for discussions about interests, needs, complaints, plans, etc. Offers, activities or excursions are discussed, planned or informed together with the children.

8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Free breakfast 

In the hallway, a buffet is available for the children, from which they can help themselves independently.

9:30 am - 12:00 pm activities, projects, offers and free play 

After the discussion group, targeted group/activities take place, projects are carried out, work that has been started is continued and the children have the opportunity to cultivate friendships in free play and to get involved in the offers in the subject rooms.

12:45 p.m. Dream Trip / Outdoor Area

The small children go straight to sleep after eating. The older children can choose between a rest period and a stay in the outdoor area, depending on their needs. Afterwards, depending on the weather, the rooms open for free play in the afternoon. When the weather is good, we like to stay outside all afternoon. 

2:30 p.m. Snack
In the afternoon there is another opportunity for everyone to eat a snack (sandwiches, fruit, vegetables). 

5:00 p.m. The kindergarten is closed. 
Parents are free to choose the pick-up times depending on the booking times. Most children are picked up between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. 

 

Food

We consider a healthy nutrition according to Maslow's hierarchy of needs to be the basis for successful child development. Our food offer is intended to relieve parents and to satiate and strengthen children during the time they spend in kindergarten.

Our daily offer therefore includes the breakfast buffet, a hot lunch (starter and main course or main course and dessert) and an afternoon snack. In the crèche area, all children have breakfast together at the table. The children in the kindergarten area can help themselves to the buffet in the hallway between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., drinks are available at any time. Lunch is eaten by all the children together (11:30 a.m. crèche, 12:00 p.m. kindergarten). In the afternoon, from 2:30 p.m., a small snack (bread with butter, fruit, vegetables) is available for all children at the buffet in the hallway or in the outdoor area.

Our breakfast offer consists mainly of fresh fruits and vegetables, poultry sausage and cheese, bread products and other changing components (e.g. yoghurt, muesli, eggs). When selecting the dishes, we pay attention to seasonal and regional products. We always respond to allergies, food intolerances, religious requirements of family culture, etc. and thus enable every child to participate in eating together. Each child decides independently and voluntarily which foods / food components and how much of them he or she wants to eat. Children's wishes are included in the preparation of the menu and the selection at the breakfast buffet. The meals are served or prepared together with the children if possible. The children should get to know the different foods (namely, taste, origin and cultivation), simply practice techniques (cut, weigh, measure) and develop an interest in new tastes and cultures.

It is particularly important to us that the children eat together in a pleasant, aesthetically pleasing environment. The dishes on offer should be presented in an appealing way to the eye. The common lunch table should be neatly set with crockery and cutlery. Here the children are also involved and acquire various basic mathematical skills, e.g. by arranging plates, knives, etc. We appreciate eating together above all because of its positive effects on the children's language development.

Either through the exchange with other children or through the linguistic impulses provided by us as pedagogical specialists, a particularly fruitful support of language development takes place here. The stimulation of the child through food intake enhances the learning effect of simultaneous linguistic stimulation (e.g. conversations about food, favourite food, etc.). 

Therefore, conversations during the meals are accompanied, actively encouraged and advocated by us. To participate in lunch, "Anträge auf Leistungen für Bildung und Teilhabe (bzgl. gemeinschaftliches Mittagessen in der Schule oder Kindertageseinrichtung)" can be submitted via the Bildungs-Service-Stelle (Roßmarktstr. 40, NES). The proof of participation will be issued by the kindergarten management.

Costs

  • Beverage fees: 5 euros per month
  • Breakfast, lunch, snack: 4.00 euros daily (from 01.09.2024)
