Current information

Introduction/specifics

Our kindergarten is located in the Mühlbach district. The facility, currently integrated into the parish center, is located on the hilly edge of a forest and meadow. Situated in the middle of nature, we have good connections to the town.

For more than 25 years, our teaching staff have been thinking about what a kindergarten should look like for us. A constantly changing society, new needs of families and especially of children have prompted the team of educators to adapt the kindergarten externally and conceptually to the changes and requirements.

The Mühlbach kindergarten is an "open kindergarten"

Rooms

We are currently spread over three floors within the parish center.

First floor:

The toddler area with a group room is located here. The sleeping area is located in an adjoining room. There is also a small dining room for the breakfast buffet and lunch.

1st floor: (Dining room)

The large dining room for the regular children is located in the Allzimmer. The breakfast buffet and lunch are served here. The checkrooms are also located here

2nd floor: (regular area)

The regular kindergarten is located on the top floor. The following workshops are located here:

  • ABC Land
  • Sewing room
  • Creative room
  • Wood workshop

Outdoor Facilities

The children can spend almost the entire day in the large outdoor area.

Here in the open air, the children live out their urge to move, feel physical exertion, learn to assess themselves and have the opportunity to challenge themselves. The children get to know their abilities and limits, train dexterity and gross motor skills. The outdoor area also offers a variety of opportunities for imaginative role play.

  • We offer bicycles so that the first skills of cycling can be practiced
  • A large sandpit invites children to linger and play
  • We also have guinea pigs, which the children also look after

Basics

The Mühlbach Kindergarten is an "open kindergarten"!

Openness refers to a pedagogy of diversity that is interested in the different composition (age, gender, skills, origin) of the children and values it as a breeding ground for learning together.

  • We do not want to change children
  • we involve children
  • we involve children (participation)
  • we take children seriously
  • we have confidence in our children
  • we trust children
  • above all, we trust in each child's desire to learn and develop

Cooperations

We cooperate with therapists, early intervention centers, educational counselors and doctors in order to support children with special needs as professionally as possible.

Cooperation with the neighboring elementary school aims to facilitate the transition from kindergarten to school.

Specifics

We take advantage of our convenient location and the beautiful surroundings to get to know as much as possible outside the kindergarten.

  • There are small and large excursions with the children
  • In the spring and summer months, we offer walks and bike rides
  • We visit the swimming pool once a week.
  • We have guinea pigs that are fed, accompanied and looked after by the children.
