Introduction/specifics

The Catholic Church has been located since 1970. St. Nikolaus kindergarten at its current location, in the middle of the Herschfeld district.

The central location to the St. Nikolaus church center, campus, elementary school, Nessi city bus stops, forest and public playgrounds and sports fields makes it an ideal starting point for numerous activities.

The children are taught age-specifically by primary educators in core groups

• a daycare group

• two kindergarten groups

• a preschool group

Rooms

The four group rooms with adjoining side rooms, the exercise room, corridor and gallery invite you to explore, develop, play and learn.

Outdoor Facilities

Our spacious outdoor area with around 1500 square meters offers, in addition to plenty of open space, plenty of opportunities for exercise and exploration with different play and climbing combinations.

Daily Schedule

The day starts at 7:00 a.m. in a kindergarten group before all groups open at 7:30 a.m. The welcoming circle takes place in the kindergarten groups at 9 a.m. After a shared snack, there is time for games and educational activities*. After lunch, the children rest and then enjoy the afternoon relaxed and full of energy.

Food

The children have the opportunity to receive a warm lunch at the facility. We obtain the warm food from a service provider who takes cultural aspects into account when selecting the menu.

Lunch takes place in the kitchen in small groups of up to a maximum of 12 children. The pedagogical staff ensures a family atmosphere here.  We attach great importance to community, table conversations, food culture and hygiene.

Children who do not take part in the warm lunch eat the lunch they brought with them in the group room at the same time - also in smaller groups.

In the morning and afternoon, all children eat the snack they brought with them in their group room.
