Rooms

The crèche children's group room offers

“ a carpet for crawling & playing

” floor-to-ceiling windows for looking & observing

“ different levels (different heights, platforms, inclined levels) for climbing, sliding, crawling etc.

” cosy corners or small caves as retreats

“ opportunity to swing

” furniture that is adapted to the body size (playable shelves, sofa, tables & chairs with different seat heights)

" age-appropriate play material, books & stimulating (learning) material

We always design the sleeping area to be as stimulation-free as possible. This makes it easier for the children to rest.

The separate sanitary area is equipped with both small toilets and washbasins that are adapted to the height of the children. The children can wash their hands independently or clean their faces after eating and receive appropriate support from the educational staff depending on their stage of development. The large changing table has shelves for the individual care products and diapers of each child.

In the research room, curious & inquisitive children have the opportunity to experiment with (safe) materials in the children's laboratory.

Many different, interesting natural materials, diagrams, world map & globe attract the children's attention.

Fish in the aquarium & stick insects in the terrarium invite the children to observe & the children learn to take responsibility for the animals & reduce their fears.

A shelf is stocked with materials for counting, recording & determining quantities, comparing, forming rows, sorting, learning about geometric shapes & solids - in short, for acquiring mathematical skills.

A tablet and a laptop invite the children to access a wide range of information and engage with interesting topics, e.g. about nature (Oscar, the balloonist dives underwater, dandelions), language (smart mice) or mathematics (number adventures).

The prerequisite for this is that the children have previously learned or practiced the proper use of the laptop and have a laptop (driver's) license. The use of digital media is limited in time and serves to expand knowledge and strengthen various skills.

Our children's library is equipped with many picture books, non-fiction books, encyclopedias and children's magazines that invite children to look things up, look at books, tell each other stories or listen to the teacher telling a story.

The creative room offers young artists plenty of space and materials for creative work.

Great works of art are created every day through crafts, modeling and painting.

However, it is not the great result (picture, craft work), but the journey (learning process) to get there (cutting, gluing, painting etc.) that is important for the child.

                                                            "The path is the goal."

                                                                                        Confucius

The handicraft corner is equipped with wool, fabrics, buttons, etc. Here the children weave, knit, knit, cord and sew.

In the wood workshop, the children develop their own ideas and implement them step by step until they have a finished product.

They experience their own work as productive & valuable. They learn about different tools and how to use them properly.

Gymnastics, dancing, playing, building dens, climbing, sliding, trampolining etc. are all possible in our exercise room.

Musical activities with instruments, rhythmics, theater performances by children for children, religious / meditative activities or children's yoga are also offered in this room.

Celebrations with a larger group (e.g. St. Nicholas party), play sessions, the morning circle and the children's conference also take place here.

Outdoor Facilities

Our spacious, natural outdoor area has a large population of trees that provide good shade for most of the play areas in summer.

Various sandboxes, seesaws, hammocks, climbing frames, a slide, a playhouse and many other devices invite you to play in a variety of ways.

The children love to hide and play in the large willow tunnel system.

In another large area, the wood yard, the children can build creatively with natural wood and boards.

Asphalted & paved areas allow driving tractors, bobby cars & tricycles.

Our raised beds for herbs and vegetables and the small berry garden are regularly maintained and planted by employees and volunteer small gardeners. But the joy is greatest during the harvest.

The separate outdoor play area for the crèche children offers the U - 3 children the opportunity to withdraw and offers age-appropriate play opportunities on a lawn, in the sandpit or on the large terrace. We also fulfill the crèche children's urge to explore and explore and enable them to use the entire outdoor area at any time.

Daily Schedule

Our daily routine

Food

A balanced and varied diet is a central aspect of health education at our facility.

For breakfast, we offer the children in the kindergarten a rich & wholesome buffet with lots of fruit & vegetables. Once a week, we bake fresh wholemeal rolls or delicious bread with the children.

In addition to satisfying hunger and thirst, we see the meals eaten by the children in our facility as an important educational task. The children are involved in the process of preparing and cooking meals from the very beginning. In doing so, they acquire motor skills such as cutting, important cognitive & language skills, skills & knowledge (knowledge & vocabulary expansion in the area of “food” & “household”) & mathematical skills through counting & weighing.

The children experience all phases of food preparation in our facility. They are already involved in creating the menu by contributing their own wishes and suggestions. The children are also involved in shopping for food, before a few volunteer “cooks” help prepare and cook the meals every day with a lot of enthusiasm and love. The children continue to take on tasks such as setting the table. They are also involved during lunch by taking responsibility for a table group for a week as the chosen “chef” & e.g. carrying food to the table in bowls & clearing the dishes. All children who are in kindergarten over lunchtime eat lunch together with their dialog group.

Experience has shown that the children also try dishes in the group that they do not know or perhaps do not eat at home.

Of course, we always pay attention to good table manners, good handling of cutlery (knife & fork) & a pleasant atmosphere during the shared meal.

In the afternoon at 3:30 pm we offer the children a healthy snack in the children's café - preferably fruit & vegetables - raw food.

Unsweetened tea and mineral water are available to the children every day. We also occasionally offer milk, mixed drinks and juice spritzers. The drinks are available throughout the day and the children can help themselves at any time.

Meal costs are calculated according to attendance or consumption.

For children with food intolerances or allergies, as well as for children who are not allowed to eat certain foods due to their religion, we consult with the parents in advance and implement the agreements responsibly.

We also offer the crèche children healthy, fresh and wholesome food.

For children who do not yet eat at the table, parents bring bottle food and vegetable or fruit porridge for their children.

The older crèche children, who are about to move to kindergarten, have the opportunity to help themselves to the buffet in the children's café or have breakfast there.

The younger children have breakfast together in the crèche. There we offer the children sandwiches with sausage and cheese, fruit and vegetables. Yoghurt and oatmeal are also popular.

They are served unsweetened tea and mineral water.

At lunch, a member of teaching staff sits at each table and helps the children to eat independently or feeds the younger ones.
