Introduction
The Kinderhaus Krabbelkäfer operates as a dedicated infant care facility, providing services for children from 6 months to 3 years of age within mixed-age groups. Managed by the non-profit organization Kinderbetreuung im Taunus (KiT) GmbH, the institution accommodates a maximum of 66 children across 6 distinct groups. Each group is equipped with a designated playroom and sleeping area, while three communal children's bathrooms, complete with toilet and changing facilities, are shared by two groups each.
The unique aspect of the Kinderhaus Krabbelkäfer lies in its commitment to fostering new connections and experiences for children, all within an environment where each child is the focal point of pedagogical endeavors. The highly trained staff diligently create a nurturing atmosphere characterized by warmth and trust, allowing children to explore and develop their individual personalities.
In adherence to the guidelines set forth by the Hessian educational plan, our pedagogical approach places paramount importance on prioritizing the well-being and development of every child. We recognize and celebrate each child's unique identity, taking into account cultural diversity. Tailoring our care to address the specific needs and desires of each child, we emphasize their inherent strengths and resources. Our goal is to empower both boys and girls, encouraging self-awareness and fostering self-confidence.
The mixed-age group setting not only encourages the acquisition of essential social skills but also promotes the development of constructive conflict resolution abilities. Central to our approach is the cultivation of emotional intelligence, encompassing the understanding, recognition, and regulation of one's own and others' emotions. Within the daily routine of our childcare center, we impart moral values to the children, leading by example with respectful interpersonal interactions. Effective verbal and non-verbal communication forms the cornerstone of our daily interactions, facilitating the establishment and nurturing of meaningful relationships.
