Introduction/specifics
The Waldrems municipal day-care centre is located on the main road of the district of the same name, south of Backnang, close to the B14, which provides good transport links to Stuttgart. Within a few metres of the facility, the paths into nature, with fields, meadows and forests, begin through the traffic-calmed residential area and offer a wide range of opportunities for nature experiences.
The facility operates with 2 base groups in the extended age-mixed group of 2 to 6-year-olds and extends over three floors. As part of the partially open-plan concept, the children have access to 8 play and experience rooms. These include the movement room in the basement, the cloakroom, the creative room/studio and the workshop in the ground floor, and the play room, the doll’s corner, the construction room, the multipurpose room, the reading corner and the second level on the upper floor. The day-care centre has two kitchens and two washrooms. From the ground floor, you can access the spacious and well-designed outdoor play area, which includes benches and tables, a climbing structure, a slide, bars, a bird’s nest swing, playhouses, a sandpit, a sand and water play area, a hammock and a hammock stand.
