Introduction/specifics

The Stubener Weg day nursery (Kita) is located in the Maubach district of Backnang, nestled between residential areas.
Each group has its own group room and an adjoining side room. The group room is the centre of group life. It is where the children meet, play together, can be creative at the art table, take part in free or guided activities and experience rituals. The group room also has a quiet and retreat area. The side room complements the group room and provides additional opportunities for role-playing, building and construction, small group activities or a place to retreat. Both rooms are used flexibly and adapted to the current interests, needs and projects of the children. There is also a kitchen and three washrooms.
The outdoor area is also an important educational and experiential space. It offers a variety of movement and nature experiences every day. As a nature park day nursery, we also regularly use our meadowland and the nature in our surroundings as a place for learning and experience.

Basics

Our educational work is based on the educational and care guidelines, the children’s rights, the legal basis and current educational and developmental psychological findings. At the same time, the children’s living environment, their needs and the close cooperation with their families form the basis of our daily work. We understand education as a holistic process. Children learn from birth, through play, through relationships, through their own experiences and through active engagement with their environment. Our task is to accompany this process attentively, to provide impulses and to create a stimulating learning environment.

Every child is an individual personality from birth. They bring with them individual abilities, strengths, interests and needs. We see each child in their uniqueness and treat them with appreciation, respect and trust. Children are curious, creative and full of a desire to explore. They want to understand their environment, to try things out and to gain their own experiences. This natural curiosity forms the basis of their development and learning. We see children as competent and active shapers of their own development. They learn through play, movement, observation, imitation and interaction with others, using all their senses. Every child develops at their own pace. We accompany each child on their individual journey and give them the time they need to develop.

A trusting partnership with parents forms the basis of our educational work. Parents are the most important people in their children’s lives and experts in their development. Through open, appreciative and respectful communication, we create the best possible conditions for the successful development of each individual child. We see parents as partners in education and treat them as equals. Mutual trust, transparency and open communication form the basis of our cooperation.
