Basics
The educational work of the day-care centre is based on the orientation plan for education and upbringing. The different interests, topics and stages of development of the children are taken into account. Special emphasis is placed on the areas of movement and creative design. Movement is understood as the basis for holistic learning and helps the children to develop their physical abilities, their self-confidence and their ability to assess risks further. Dealing with nature and the environment also plays an important role. Through cooking days and the use of natural materials, the children gain a wide range of experiences. Another focus is on language development, which is understood as the basis for social participation. The children are supported in their language development through conversations, picture books, songs, finger games, free play and targeted activities.
The image of the child is characterised by an appreciative and resource-oriented attitude. Children are seen as curious and active learners who explore their environment through their own experiences and who have their own individual interests, needs and rates of development. The educational professionals focus on the children’s strengths, support them in overcoming challenges and encourage them to try new things and to try again after a setback. Children are given a wide range of opportunities to gain experience independently, to discover their own limits and to develop their skills further.
The partnership in education is particularly evident in the cooperation and exchange with parents. For example, parents are informed about their child’s development and potential for support in development talks and are involved in various educational activities. Parents are also involved in language development by selecting books together with their children and reading to them at home.
