Basics
The basis of our educational work is the orientation plan for education and upbringing. In addition, we work in accordance with the Waldorf educational approach, which is reflected in the subtle design of the rooms, the play materials and the use of natural materials. We also incorporate rituals and recurring events into the seasonal cycle. We provide space for respectful encounters between people from different cultural, linguistic and individual backgrounds. As an educational team, we create a caring and supportive educational environment that meets the individual developmental needs of the children as well as the requirements of the cultural diversity within our facility. A particular focus is placed on the promotion of language and language acquisition. We are a language-focused daycare centre as part of the state funding programme ‘Because language is the key to the world’. The main areas of focus of this programme are the integration of language education into everyday life, inclusive education, cooperation with families and digitalisation. These areas are essential components of our educational work and support a holistic approach to the care of children.
Another essential component is language development according to the Denkendorf model.
Here, language learning in everyday life is deepened, consolidated and then repeated in a smaller, less distracting environment, taking into account individual needs.
Our attitude towards children is characterised by goodwill and care. It is therefore important for us to know what ideas, concerns and feelings children have. They experience that their needs, thoughts or criticisms are taken seriously. Children’s participation in our educational work takes place directly on the relationship level between child and educator. At the same time, they experience the security and reliability of rules that are lived out and boundaries that are easy to understand.
Parents are important partners in education for us, and as a pedagogical team we share responsibility with them for the healthy emotional, intellectual and physical development of children during this phase of childhood. A friendly and appreciative attitude towards each other forms the basis for the entire kindergarten period. We therefore invite parents to participate in a lively partnership with us.
