Basics
The educational work of the day-care centre is based on the orientation plan for education and care and follows a holistic approach to education and care. This includes social and emotional development, independence and self-determination, communication and language, the transmission of values, motor skills and encounters with nature. In the kindergarten, the partially open-door policy supports children in using different rooms according to their interests and making their own decisions. Free play is of particular importance, as children can choose their own play area, materials and playmates. Reliable and appreciative relationships form the basis of the educational work in both areas. In the crèche, special attention is paid to security and a gentle approach to the daily routine, due to the age and needs of the younger children. In both areas, children are supported and encouraged in a holistic way and in accordance with their individual development through movement, music, creative and nature activities, as well as language development integrated into everyday life.
The image of the child is based on the idea that every child is an individual with their own personality, needs, interests and potential for development. The staff treat the children in a friendly, open, appreciative, empathetic and attentive manner. They recognise the individual development of each child, support them and provide them with a secure base. The children are seen as active participants in their own educational processes. Participation enables them to take part in decisions about the day-to-day life of the nursery, in accordance with their age and stage of development.
The partnership in education describes the shared responsibility of parents and the educational staff for the child’s development. The basis of this partnership is dialogue, communication and a collaborative exchange of ideas. Educational ideas and aims are discussed and agreed upon together for the benefit of the child. The cooperation is particularly intensive during the settling-in period, with regular talks and discussions.
