Introduction/specifics

Dear interested families,

Welcome to the St. Michael kindergarten! The transition from family to kindergarten changes and expands the lives of children and parents. A lot of unknown and new things are coming up for you and your child. We are guided by Christian values. They give us roots and challenge us to develop further. For us, every human being is unique in God's creation. We accept him as he is and challenge and encourage each other in togetherness.

The St. Michael kindergarten offers space for 69 children from Altshausen and the suburbs in three groups. Children from 2 years and 6 months are admitted to all three groups, provided that there are enough free places. In the immediate vicinity there are various school facilities with which we cooperate.

Our pedagogical work is based on the situational approach and the "Orientation Plan for Education and Training" in Baden-Württemberg. In our open concept, we offer your child a wide range of educational areas for independent development.

Daily Schedule

In our daily routine, it is important to us to give the children structures and rituals. A structured daily routine gives the children security and orientation and contributes to good relationships.

  • Drop-off time begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 8:30 a.m.
  • From 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. the children are looked after in a group in free play.
  • All groups open at 7:45 a.m. The free play period lasts until 10:15 a.m.
  • Between 7:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. the children have the opportunity to eat freely.
  • On some days there are open offers in the house during free play. On some days there are also offers such as preschool gymnastics, cooperation offers, etc.
  • From 11 a.m. all children go into the garden.
  • The pick-up time starts at 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. or 1 p.m. The full-day children go to lunch. After lunch there is a rest period for all full-day children.
  • Afternoon kindergarten takes place three days a week from 1:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. / 4:30 p.m.

Food

For the free snack in the morning, each child brings a snack to the facility in a kindergarten bag.

Our facility takes part in the school fruit program of the state of Baden-Württemberg. This is supported by the local Volksbank and the Stadler company.

The fruit and vegetables supplied are made available to the children during snack time.

We receive lunch for all-day care from Dornahof on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. When ordering, we make sure that the diet is as child-friendly and balanced as possible.
