How many requests per child are possible?
Maximum of 4 simultaneously active requests per kindergarten year (September 1 - August 31). It is strongly recommended that you make full use of this.

From when can I register my child?
Kiga year 2023/2024: The places are filled monthly according to the admission criteria. If you receive a rejection, you can make a new application for the following month. You will receive an offer of a place at the earliest 7 months before the desired start of care. From Kiga year 2024/2025: The places will be filled on key dates according to the admission criteria. If you receive a rejection in the placement round, you must register your child again for the next deadline! You will receive an offer of a place in the relevant placement rounds. General admission criteria of the city of Wangen im Allgäu
Kindergarten places are allocated in the following order of priority: 1. primary residence in the district town of Wangen im Allgäu (if you are planning to move, an existing rental or purchase agreement is required) 2. sibling; simultaneously in this facility 3. children living in the village/town center (exceptions: facilities with Waldorf education) 4. age; older children have priority. Registration for the nursery will only be accepted if the desired start date is at least 8 months before the child's 3rd birthday. The kindergartens' priorities are not included in the allocation criteria for places.
