LITTLE BIRD – to rank first again

On January 17th LITTLE BIRD was once more awarded – this time as the winner of the Urban Solutions Pitch. This year the award was for the first time presented by CeBIT, the most important digital industry trade fair worldwide, and BITKOM, the federal association for information technology, telecommunications and new media.

A total of 70 ventures applied for this important commendation. The five winners of the contest concerning future urban life were nominated by a jury of representatives of Deutsche Messe AG, BITKOM, the German alliance of cities and communes as well as Frauenhofer union for IT technology.

"The Urban Solutions Pitch increases the awareness of innovative key technologies for metropolitan areas and exhibits due to it’s broad scale" says Dr. Axel Garbers, member of BITKOM’s executive board.

The search portal LITTLE BIRD goes online in Bischofswerda on the international children's day

Parents, childcare center managers and government employees are overjoyed: in the afternoon LITTLE BIRD is launching in the Saxon town.

With the help of this interactive online solution parents can search for care places for their child and register directly with their desired facility. Childcare facility managers receive registrations online, detect spare capacities with the help of Little Bird and send parents an acceptance note at an early stage.

In turn, the employees of the Bischofswerda-administrative office for education, youth and sports can balance supply and demand and detect required capacities.
