Bad Homburg

Transparent awarding in Hesse

Aachen, Görlitz, Schorndorf, Bischofswerda und Heidenau have joined and now – at this moment LITTLE BIRD® is also starting in Bad Homburg and Oberusel too. A total of 36 responsible employees, 86 facilities and about 80 day cares are integrated in the LITTLE BIRD® solution. This guarantees a high operational standard of proximity to the public – one of many local advantages in this region.

“We create transparency and planning reliability for our families, but also planning reliability for our administration with the help of this software. The search for child care will be completely changed by this system. This will enable us to allocate day care early and ensure planning reliability for the families.

In addition, it will create earlier and dependable planning for us. We will be able to access the actual need of all families daily with this comprehensive system with regard to responsible employees and facilities. By means of possibility of early registration we will be able to calculate the detailed needs for several years Therefore we will be able to react if necessary.”

Christof Fink, First municipal councilor of Oberursel (Taunus).

LITTLE BIRD live in Görlitz

Görlitz live!

Since yesterday all municipal childcare facilities of Görlitz and 28 new childcare agencies are online. This completes the fabulous launch of LITTLE BIRD® System after the successful start of the DRK Görlitz System. Using the LITTLE BIRD® online portal, parents can now explore and apply in more than 50 childcare facilities and day care centers to find the best care for their children. Thank you for a wonderful installing this project time!

Both the municipal as well as the DRK system run their own secured application servers, so-called trust centers. To ensure all LITTLE BIRD® advantages for all parents and the city's public services, the two systems communicate independently using a special mapping service. The synchronized data is encrypted and prevents, for example, duplicate care inquiries on both systems.

Oberursel

LITTLE BIRD goes "live" in Oberursel

LITTLE BIRD has arrived at the "Tor zum Taunus": This summer integrates the online portal and the administrative module into the e-government for the Hessian city of Oberursel, just outside Frankfurt. "We searched for a portal driven system, which would enable an easy application for a childcare place for parents and which would display a transparent and efficient allocation and administration process.", remembers Christof Fink, first councillor of Oberursel (Taunus).

"Of all providers currently offering relevant systems, LITTLE BIRD has been the only provider offering exactly what we had in mind. It was important to us that we get a finished, tested product, that only had to be adjusted to our specific needs."

The installation will already be finished by March, so the training courses can be carried out soon. On 1 August 2013 the way will be clear for the start of the innovative e-government solution in Oberursel - as first city in Hesse.
