Our humanistic nursery in Fürth’s southwest district – a place to grow, play, and discover

Since February 2014, our lovingly designed nursery on Neumannstraße has been warmly welcoming little personalities on their big journey of discovery. In a modern, light-filled new building, up to 36 children find a place entirely tailored to their needs. Open, inviting spaces with plenty of room for play, exploration, rest, and excitement offer countless opportunities for shared experiences.

Our educational approach is shaped by a humanistic philosophy that places the individual needs and interests of each child at the center. We accompany the children with mindfulness, empathy, and openness, in a safe environment that provides both security and freedom.

Our Educational Concept

Participation is at the heart of our daily pedagogical work and forms a fundamental principle in the relationship between child and adult. Within our open concept, children can actively shape their daily lives: various educational spaces are available to them and are supported by our pedagogical staff. This allows them to follow their individual interests, discover new things independently, and make their own decisions. They experience that their needs and feelings are important, as they are heard and acknowledged at eye level. This forms the foundation for healthy emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Our open approach allows children to decide for themselves where and with whom they would like to play, and who may accompany, support, or comfort them. A trusting bond is formed slowly through gentle and conscious care, openness, and patience. We give each child the safety and time they need to unfold freely. A happy nursery experience begins with a relaxed settling-in period, entirely adapted to the child’s pace. We place great importance on allowing children to freely decide when they want to make contact and whom they wish to confide in.

Our goal is to support children on their path toward healthy self-esteem and strong self-confidence. We deliberately step back, giving them the space they need to grow securely and independently. Clear, age-appropriate rules provide orientation and support in everyday life – whether during tidy-up time, through fixed rituals, or in mindful and fair interactions. In this way, we create a protected framework in which self-efficacy and community can thrive. Trust in the children’s inner strength is the foundation of our pedagogical work.
