Introduction/specifics

Our forms and models of care

In our preschool we support up to 51 children, aged 2-6 years in 2 age-homogeneous groups. Children between the ages of 2 and 4 are cared for in the "beargroup", while the children in the "tigergroup" are between 4 and 6 years old. We attach particular importance to a loving and stimulating atmosphere so that the children feel safe and can develop with us. The well-being of the child is always the focus.

Food

Our catering offer:

Our preschool does not offer a warm lunch. But children, who are picked up later, can bring a small, second snack with them. Our preschool also takes part in the "EU school fruit" and "school milk program". This means that we receive free fresh fruit (apples, tangerines,...) as well as milk and cheese every two weeks. In addition, our parents support us with a fruit and vegetable basket. On the monthly “Tasty Tasty Day” we cook or bake with the children, which we then eat together. A healthy diet/food is our priority.

Employee

Our team:

We are an open, competent and motivated team, consisting of 7 employees and 3 sickness representatives.
Teamwork, trust, support and the contribution of individual skills are very important to us.
Every two weeks we exchange ideas in team meetings, for example about:
- Educational topics and projects
- Planning of celebrations
- Case discussions
- Further training
We also look after interns from the GSS in Leutkirch every year during various years of education.

Teamwork with parents

The child and the family are the focus of our work, which is why an intensive exchange with parents is very important to us. This takes place at conversations at the door, as well as at parent-meetings. In addition, parents are regularly informed about the latest news via the "Kita Plus parents app".

Specifics

Pedagogical concept

Our work is based on the orientation plan for education and upbringing in preschools in Baden-Württemberg, in which the focus is on the child. Our focus is on the educational and developmental areas of body, senses, language, thinking, feeling and compassion, meaning, values and religion.
Daily rituals and routines give the children support and security. The child should feel comfortable within the group and experience community. By working together, the children learn from each other and with each other.

We are guided by the religious annual cycle, which is a major focus of our daily work. Religious units are designed so that children understand them in a childlike way. The “Hand in Hand with Jesus” project, which is offered by our preschool pastoral representative, supports our religious education work. This also means that the children experience careful and tolerant interaction with people, animals and nature.

We as staff want to be a role model for the children. Through respect, honesty, empathy and openness, we want to treat each other appreciatively and offer the children a place of encounter, community and security. We support the children as companions and try to support each child with their strengths and abilities.
