Basics

The name NEST-WERK stands for the tasks and goals of our association: We build a "nest" with a network of counseling, qualification and coordination for the care of infants, small and kindergarten children with the goal of a mentally, physically and mentally healthy development the children.

Maybe this is the first time that you, as a parent, are giving your child complementary care. To ensure that this transition works well and you and your child feel comfortable with the childminder, for example, a cautious, individual acclimatization in the day care center is important. The more understanding and certainty adults and children have in a caring relationship, the sooner that time becomes a beautiful and enriching period of life for both parent and child.
In the plethora of questions such as "What is the best form of care for my child?", "How are childminders qualified?" and "Where can I find a childminder and what are the costs?" NEST-WERK e.V. offers help and answers.

The association also takes over the placement of childcare places between parents and day care centers (passing on the contact details of childminders / nurses / babies and babysitters). Here, parents receive competent advice and support from a pedagogical specialist of the association, which also has an overview of the free care places with the child minders / fathers.
Central aspects of day care for our childminders and nannies:
• Qualified day nurses recognized by the youth welfare office (nursing permit according to § 43 SGB VIII)
• Childminders with federal certificate and 2-year qualification in early childhood education and regular group supervision as well as annual further education (at least 20 teaching units)
• A gentle, individual adaptation of the child in the day care center
• Building and maintaining a secure attachment relationship with a reliable and compassionate caregiver
• Manageable and recognizable events in the group
• Promotion of the child's world of life and experience and social competence
• Careful handling of transitions and separation processes, such as the transition from the day care center to the daycare center
