In year 1973 the 2-group kindergarten was build. It opened on march 1st 1973. Therefore the children from Ecknach and the surrounding area had the possibility to belay 50 places.

In September 2011 the kindergarten began it’s process to rearrange the Educational work. It was accompanied by Mrs. Immerz and internships in other kindergartens. Time after time the 2-group-system has changed into a concept with Age separated morning circles and experience spaces that are open for all children.

In January 2014 the day-nursery for children under 3 years has opened. There were 15 places available in a mixed age and gender group for children between 1 and 3 years. The group was supervised by two full-time and two part-time colleagues and an intern.

Now the parish, the pastor’s residence, has been rebuilt after he moved. That made it possible to create additional nursery places for a total of 45 children. In the course of the reopening of the extended nursery, the facility is now separated and the kindergarten with the after-school care and the nursery are created. 1 to 3 children can be included in both kindergarten and nursery for integration and inclusion.

Rooms

In our day nursery are 3 big group rooms (blue for the youngest, red fort he middle, yellow fort he oldest).

The group room between the blue and the red group are separated by the changing room for diapers with sinks and small toilets for the children. So the blue and the red group can visit each other. Next to the blue group room is the youngest children’s bedroom, where they can take their afternoon nap.

The yellow group is connected to the Movement space from the kindergarten. The children can let of steam once a week in here. It is also connected with a winter garden, where they are eating right now. They also have their own bedroom and their changing room, also with children sized sinks and toilets.

We have a big garderobe for the children with a stroller parking, as well as a multipurpose room where the children mostly eat or pedagogical offers are accomplished.

On the upper floor are 3 meeting rooms, one of which is now used as the bedroom for the red group, due to corona.

Outdoor Facilities

Our Day nursery has a generous newly designed terrace and a close to nature garden, which can be opened to the kindergarten.

Because our garden is now being expanded, we are in the middle of construction. It will be continued as soon as the weather allows us to. The new garden will also be close to nature, to encourage the development of the children.

„Experience nature with all your senses“ for example: play catch, discover frost, play „Can you hear this…?“… The development of their adjustment ability will be encouraged a lot here, because the nature is changing all the time, therefore the children will always have to adjust to it.
